this will be super handy, because ive always had troubled importing props and sets from other scenes and feeling like its safe and not overwriting

This is exactly the kind of scenario that I think this feature will help with. You could do this before, but I think it'll just be clearer to do with the pp board.

I have a question How do you draw all those frames in your level strip Cus i am trying but i dint know how Is it that you would draw on a new frame and delete and then it would appear on the level strip i am confused I watched a cut out tutorial where you used bb-8 as an example i hope you remember the video Well my question is When you said that there is a way you can make frame by frame animation to make the lower half of bb-8 to rotate then you whipped out the level strip and there were a bunch of frame by frame animation of the lower half of bb-8 rolling and i dont know how you did that i have been trying to find answers but still confused most opentoonz tutorials are always like this 😢 and it is sometimes difficult to grab and understand what is actually going on if you get my point so if you can please explain i will appreciate it

Hi. I reply to all messages, whichever video they're on. This is one of the most common questions that I get on that video. I didn't show it in the video, but yes, I added all of those drawings. I actually used the auto inbetween feature to create them. But basically, they're just rotated views of the same original drawing.

Very cool. Will it slow down the programme through having more than one scene open at a time, or does the programme 'close down' the other scene when opening a new one?
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
There's only 1 scene open at once. If you've made a change to the current scene and click another, it asks if you want to save it first.
@ngutngut40 Жыл бұрын
@@DarrenTAnims Great. I imagine it's easy to copy a selection of levels and paste then into another scene too.
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
@@ngutngut40 That's an interesting question. If you've anyway got the levels added to the other scene, you might be able to copy the exposures from one scene to another. I've not tried that yet.

How can I play all the scenes of a project together?
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
You'd need to add them together in a video editor, to watch them together. This is what you'd need anyway, to share them as a single animation. I use the free program, Shotcut, to assemble my shots.

It really is. I think it'll help to work with scenes and encourage using multiple scenes in a project to break it up.
@lofwyr5063 Жыл бұрын
I see no real harm in this, but also no real gain, at least not for me. It is just an indexer, after all. It's a convenience, a minor one. I don't think studios will use this for production, but animators in the production might use it as a convenient playground for shots, but that might also be diminished by the fact that the drawings, as you said yourself, are shared.
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
I agree. It's certainly something I'll use when I start a larger project, to see if there's any benefit for me. It all depends on your workflow. I like breaking up my shots, so having the backgrounds in one scene, characters in another and then assembling shots in another, I can imagine I'll be jumping between scenes quite a lot, so this would be helpful for me. But I'll find that out when I use it in earnest.
