I have been to Ghana enough to be able to discern between the Twi, Ga and Hausa languages. It would be great to do a video on the major languages spoken in Ghana. Perhaps even a trip to Cape Coast and Elmina. That trip would be especially meaningful to those of us who descend from Africans enslaved in the Americas and Caribbean. Either way keep up the great work.

I am from the Caribbean, and the majority of the slaves (ancestors) brought here are from Ghana I believe.....I can see how this is true, because like Ghanians, we also season our food heavily in my country. We also use a lot of citrus to wash and clean our meats.

My friend don't conclude yet because you have not been to other African countries and ghans is a small population so its impossible that majority of the slaves were taken from there. Please do your research before you conclude, I am trying to be rude.

They were people who were brought from Africa, not "slaves". Some of those people might have been made into slaves when they reached their destination but some escaped enslavement and were never slaves (e.g. Jamaican Maroons). When I go to Ghana I’m taking shopping baskets for the market. There must be a way to stop the use of those nasty single use black plastic bags that damage the beautiful Ghana. That should change to paper bags and people should bring their baskets. Jasmine please set an example in future and take your own shopping basket and refuse the plastic bags.

People everywhere love them💞 When I buy 6 yards of African fabric I cut 1 yard to make my African shopping bag🌷 sometimes I pick up a beautiful african dress with the embroider on front and back from flea market for a couple of dollars and make 2 shopping bags with linnings. @@natashaboyd1815 Enjoy your trip and to stay 1 month that's awesome. I live in 🇺🇸 and dont make the reuseable bags for resale. If you have a idea of what you want a seamstress in Ghana will make them for you at a cheap price they can start you off with a couple to use there within hours. And make more to take home as gifts. One thing you have to stress to seamstress is to make a linning in bag and wide very strong straps. Fabric there will be very reasonable and the exchange rate is about 5.7 cedi for every dollar unbelievable. (not sure if you use usd) if you want baskets I believe the Culture Center has them. Enjoy and do lots of shopping☺
