I am from the Caribbean, and the majority of the slaves (ancestors) brought here are from Ghana I believe.....I can see how this is true, because like Ghanians, we also season our food heavily in my country. We also use a lot of citrus to wash and clean our meats.
@patiencepat42564 жыл бұрын
My friend don't conclude yet because you have not been to other African countries and ghans is a small population so its impossible that majority of the slaves were taken from there. Please do your research before you conclude, I am trying to be rude.
@xaymacagrace5754 жыл бұрын
They were people who were brought from Africa, not "slaves". Some of those people might have been made into slaves when they reached their destination but some escaped enslavement and were never slaves (e.g. Jamaican Maroons). Language is a very powerful thing. It can make a world of difference on one's psyche, self-esteem and empowerment. Choose your words carefully.

Unless the rice is brown, a measure of exactly twice as much water than rice is a good balance. Brown rice requires more water and longer cooking time.

True if you're just cooking plain rice but Omotuo(rice balls) are mashed and mushy so needs more water than usual to soften the rice before mashing the rice.
