Hello, the video is very nice, thank you for sharing it. I only have one question. Use the calculator for soaps and make a comparison with the measurements of the ingredients, the only thing that comes out differently is the amount of water: in one it comes out 169G and in another 190. But here you tell us 120. What is the difference? ?? I await your valuable response, thank you very much.
@tellervo.3 жыл бұрын
Thank you☺ There is no set amount of water so you can use any of them, but there are lots of benefits to using less water, like being able to unmold the soap faster and overall I think it produces a nicer bar of soap. The numbers you have there are very high, if you want to use more water I would suggest a 33% lye concentration which is about 140 g water for this recipe. If you want to use 120 g of water, plug in ‘37% lye concentration’ in a lye calculator.

The ingredient being indigo was unexpected! And yet, I came across it during my soap ingredients shopping session but missed it. I'm curious, doesn't it bleed onto skin over time? I'm asking because this indigo powder is sold by my regular merchant as a complement to henna for hair coloration.
@tellervo.3 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't bleed at all - as long as you don't use too much. There are two kinds of indigo powders. As far as I know, the blue one can be used to color soap, and the green one is used for hair coloration among other things
