@@traviswells6938 Confidently Wrong. Phonk doesn't really use cowbells, what you mean is Drift. It's a common misconception. Drift Phonk is a sub genre of Phonk, that uses these cowbell melodies and is extremely distorted overall. Real Phonk is actually really smooth and completely different in terms of vibe. You should check out the Phonk Goats, like Soudiere, DJ Yung Vamp, Mythic and DJ Smokey.

You can make some really good Phonk beats with just the Free FL Studios. I would advise you download some free 808 drum packs as well just to make it sound more Phonky, if you are gonna get free 808's I would suggest WGS 808 Drum kit and Pyur Sound - NIGHTMARE (Both Free), for the cowbell you can use the stock FL sound called "VT_CB" (I would add an EQ, Fruity Reverb, & Stero Shaper, but you don't have to)

Try adding reverb. Or delay. It's usually reverb though. If you make a narrow Reverb it should just prolong the note instead of echo it

Hey, I just had this same problem and it took me a while to figure out. Hopefully it helps. 1) Above the piano keys there is a triangle (left of the wrench). Click That 2) Click View > Keyboard Style > Flat 3) Click View Again > Keyboard Labels > UNCHECK White Notes only. Hopefully that helps! Play around with the view settings a bit to get exactly what you like.
