I created my own system using PCG and the best thing about PCG is its not very hard to learn and tweak. And i can use that same PCG graphs in different projects. So i guess i wont be needing this Dash plugin. But its a great tool for artist who doesnt have knowledge of blueprints in UE.

This works with open world ? normaly we need make a layer to landscape but you apply so easy , the problem is ... what happens later ? i mean in open world with world partition system .

How is the performance in comparison with PCG? I´m actually working on a game with a lot of forest area but a small chunk of pcg is killing my performance. FPS around 20 to 35

It is very similar to PCG actually, as both PCG and Dash uses HISM in the backend. So you should not expect a performance boost, the main advantage of Dash is ease of use! :) You can try the free trial if you are interested!

Hello i like your video and if its possible, can you make a tutoriel featuring an equip clothes system with metahuman where the player character doesnt start the level naked but like you choose the first costume on the body and that combined with the ability to loot or find other costumes which you can equip and change with the starter outfit, that combined with an inventory UI to change the outfits from different costumes, I understand that my request is too long but it will help many developers so please work on it when you can Thanks in advance. For more knowledge like steller blade you find chest open it it give you outfits and you press escape and open pause menu and there outfit taps and you have new outfit unlocked and can equip it while the first outfit as default equip

It's too late for Dash :( A PCG expert can easily create these procedural tools. And there's already a plugin to do physics level design. And combined, those are already free!!!

I just answered a similar question at my Discord. The thing is that Dash has many tools nicely packaged with its own UI and specific parameters to help you build environments. It's true that now PCG can do many of Dash's features, but not at that speed and comfort. As you saw in my video, I literally dragged a plant asset into the floor and it scattered all around at that surface, with one click. Then, a nice panel came out, with the needed parameters in a UI that I can easily play around in realtime. Dash just makes things easier in my opinion, and doesn't require nodes like with PCG.

I agree. The coolest thing about it is how slick the UI is. Artists need things like that to help them feel like they are moving intuitively. But honestly it takes no time to build a scatter tool or even the draw spline tool with a little bit of editor knowledge. One things I’ve come to terms with is that a lot of things on marketplaces are just existing tools packaged up with a nice ribbon and a bow. Can’t deny that asset manager though, however it becomes less innovative when FAB drops
