Hi there - is there an option to use anything else than Filmic ? I use SutterCast App - BUT - the App show a different angle of the phone on the ATEM. I can force it to show a 90 angle - on OBS, but it's not easy with the other source... I'm still looking for a solution if you've one ?

One question I have an iPhone 11 pro max and I am trying to have the clean hdmi output from the filmicpro to my blackmagic recording monitor but the first thing is that it does not send me the signal if I do not give it the charger, not as you show in the video that You only connect the HDMI cable and the other thing is that it does not reproduce the clean signal only when I am with the cell phone vertically, so I turn the cell phone to horizontal, the video is lost and the signal flashes ... I changed the hdmi and everything still the same

Hi Tim, thanks for this great channel! We love it! We are experiencing problems with the Filmic Pro App (V7.1.0) and the new iPhones (13pro, 14 pro, 14pro plus + iOS 16.2). It does not give the option for clean hdmi at all, so we again have the black spaces all around when connecting to the Atem mini. Did you have this issue somehow? Thanks a million for your help!

I Use theses adapters but unfortunately the video is not synchronized with the sound (There is a small delay) and with the ATEM I don't have solution to fix it because the sound is encapsulated in the HDMI. Did you found the same issue? I Think the issue is due to the video converter in the adapter.

Yes, it’s easy to do. But, when shooting 4K, does your monitor have massive lag and latency? 1080p is fine but once you hit record with 4K 30 fps, huge lag and stutter to catch up and not smooth. Thoughts?

I know this comment is a year old, but hopefully this is helpful to someone. When you get on that page where it asks you to subscribe, keep scrolling all the way to the right. At the very bottom there's a "use limited version" button, or something along those lines. Click that, and you can still do everything in this video for free.

as a quick test - can you try connecting the HDMI directly to a TV or monitor? that will tell us if the HDMI is coming out of the cable. if that doesn't work try swapping out the HDMI cable. An addcitional question - is the HDMI adaptor an apple one or other brand?.

So thats how its done. Really not a n expensive app considering iPhones now have video quality that rivals most compact camera's and even some DSLR's. Another good thing is if you need an extra camera for a particular situation and you already are using your phone as one of the camera's, you can borrow a friends if they are willing to be without their phone for the time its needed. Simply give them $20, have them buy filmic pro, set it up and your off to the races.

@@TimSimpson Thanks Tim, yes that works - not quite what apps like iVCam or EpocCam do (fully turning off the screen) but they don't work with the Atem mini...Btw, I followed your suggestion and tried the Shoot app. If you don't need the fancy settings of Filmic, shoot works wonderfully. Unlike Filimic Pro, that does not work well with my 2018 iPad pro, Shoot has clean HDMI out both on my 2018 (Lightning) and 2020 (USB-c) iPads. Best wishes, Christian!
