I remember seeing this while I was there to buy mine. I went from a 2022 Maserati Levante to a 2023 Maserati Grecale. They explained the trade-in to me and what he switched to, and it made sense but not really. The guy has a lot of money, so he could afford to do what he did and not miss the money. The technology is a quantum leap even from a 2022 Maserati Levante. I think Maserati is moving in the right direction, and personally, having now owned 6 Maserati's, I can tell you the build quality, fit, and finish have been stepped up significantly, and that's before you get to the modernization of the technology the vehicle offers. It took me a couple of hours to get over the learning curve, and muscle memory kicked in with things. Occasionally I will find myself reaching for a gear shifter, then I remember or reaching for the Start/Stop on the left, then remembering it is now on the steering wheel.

Does the original manufacturer warranty transfer? I wouldn’t really care about the dealers warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles when paying this much. I would want the original manufactures warranty the transfer.

Wow, that's not what I expected (I assumed they traded it for the more powerful version) but OK. I can see it for some people; Millennials are 72M strong so cars have to be built with their desires in mind first and they want all that smartphone stuff in their cars. I rented a 2022 Suburban High Country last summer and the online tech was overwhelming....far more than in my 2017 Giulia Ti. 95% of it wasn't needed for a family road trip---wife and teens all have their iPhones. I really at one point was like "how do I just tune the god#($@ radio??", I hated the gear select buttons on that too.
@RonsRides Жыл бұрын
I mean i get it, this person grew up on cars where their were just engines, steering wheels, a gear selector and pedals. Nothing else. So time and tech has been quite overwhelming to them.

I just wanted to chime in because saying that the reason someone would struggle with this car is simply due to a "learning curve" is very misleading, and maybe even a little condescending... For context I've had a fully specced out Grecale Modena since January, and I also happen to work in Tech (so pretty switched on when it comes to technology), and I have to say the usability of this car is really poor, especially compared to my previous car, a second-gen Porsche Macan S (the one before they switched to those awful capacitive buttons on the centre console 😅). Touch screens and capacitive buttons are a poor choice for cars to begin with, because they are much harder to use compared to physical controls - they require you to look directly at them, and even then they require much more focus/concentration to hit compared to a physical button, making them quite dangerous while driving... A good example of this in the Grecale is the button for engaging the hazard lights, which you would often do in city traffic to thank someone for letting you in. In the Grecale this is a capacitive button, and not a particularly forgiving one at that - to engage it I have to look directly down, and press it sometimes 2-3 times to engage; then repeat the same process to disengage. Not exactly the safest thing to do in busy city traffic! As for the new button-based shifter, I have to say it's a terrible idea: while they are physical buttons, they are located between the two touch screens in the centre console, which means that you have to look directly at them while using to avoid accidentally touching something on the screens above/below; even then I often touch buttons in the top row of the climate control screen by accident while "shifting" if I don't pay close attention... The good news is that when manoeuvring, if you put the car in R with the button once, afterwards you can use the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel to switch back and forth between D and R. On a more positive note, the quality of the interior is absolutely top notch - you really have to go hunting to find a surface that's not covered in soft padded leather or high-quality soft touch plastic! Also, I have the white interior with the carbon fibre + copper yarn trim panels, which looks stunning, especially when it's sunny out! The ride is soft/plush and very quiet in GT mode, while in Sport mode in twisty country roads it's at least as much fun to drive as my Macan was! Ultimately my Grecale will be going back to the dealer due to all the low and medium severity issues I've had over the months (some of which still aren't technically fixed), but I may just be an outlier - looking at the forums, plenty of people out there seem to have no major problems, and are having a great time with theirs. 🙂

Im glad others arent having many problems with their but sucks you've had issues with yours! And I cant argue with you at all since you have had much more real world experience with the car than I have. I salute you for posting all of this!

I learned to drive on a 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 383 and a push button transmission, so I have no idea what this "learning curve" stuff is about.

The QP is a far better vehicle overall than this regardless. Tech is not important to millions of consumers. (I am one of them) There is more to owning a sporty car than all the tech out there. Regardless, the depreciation of Maserati is terrible. No one should ever buy a brand new one. I'm surprised they are still in business actually. Its just not practical at all.
