I advise people to take the vehicles to a testing station for an inspection before buying the vehicle. I work for a company that can assist with the and it is just R250 for the inspection check. We are called Hareyeng Vehicle Testing Station in the Midvaal (De Deur) region

I believe that every dealership especially WBC should have a mechanic with top notch diagnostics equipment's on the floor to inspect the cars before signing the papers with the sellers and releasing the funds.

Can we also talk about the exorbitant pricing on the used car market? It seems cars dont depreciate anymore, but rather age like fine wine, when consumers buy but reference is made to book value, when you sell a car to the dealers. Although the other premise used to price cars is on demand and supply factors, in my opinion, it is unreasonably abused and not appropriately applied, thus extorting consumers😢

It happened to me 5 years ago on one of the dealership in klerksdorp. The ombudsman instructed them to repair the vehicle within a given period, or refund me. They decided to refund the money after 4 months of purchase

So called Dealerships on Louis Botha avenue and corlett drive sell accident damaged repaired cars with turned back mileage. The prices are reasonable than your normal car dealerships. Don't expect to pay cheap and receive a 100% working car with no issues at those dealerships. Rather pay abit higher and go to a proper dealership to purchase a vehicle with a warranty.

WeBuyCars is just a glorified scrapyard. Ombudsman are useless. They are alwayd more on the side of the dealership rather than the consumer. Don't buy other people's problems. Rather go the brand new route (not even a demo vehicle). Did you see how rough a demo vehicle is driven? Even if it had 5000km on it, stay away. It's 5000km's of hammering an engine.
