If you’re after a prestigious, classy-feeling SUV that’s spacious, quiet and reasonably efficient, it’s worth test-driving a Q5 to see whether it fits the bill; especially if your budget will stretch to a post-facelift model.

I just want to say thanks. I used the USA site to get a great deal on a 2017 Audi Q5 3.0T. All the data car gurus provided empowered me to actually walk away from the dealer the first time, which allowed me to talk the dealer way down on price when they came back to me 2 days later. Beats me why you would compare a Q5 with a x3, I’ve had both and can tell you the Audi is by far the better car..by a mile.

E83 or F25? The E83 wasn't great (did drive great though, for an SUV) and the F25 was a gigantic step up.

Yes, if the engine is revised to fix the oil problem.

Problem free = no Quality = you bet Since you put problem free first you might be better off in a Rav4

It is not true that all models comes with 4 wheel drive. There is also 2 wd in offer.

true story I was just shopping for used Q5s

One North American version turns off drive to the rear wheels when the car detects it is not needed, but it still has 4 wheel drive. There is no 2wd only version.

Manuals are far better, price in a £1000 for a clutch and fly wheel but better than the 3-4-5 grand for an auto problem

The PD 2.0TDi has the oil pump issue. Don't believe the CR engine used in Q5 does.
