Your reviews are awesome Justin! I LOVE that you focus primarily on used cars. Whenever I look into cars, I always consider used or lightly used models. I find your reviews are exactly on point!! Keep up the great work!!

Dude nobody is test driving a car to an Audi dealership or mechanic shop to drop it off for hours and have them check the things you mentioned. This video would have been a lot more helpful had you provided more things that the buyer can check THEMSELF on the lot.

Nice video, good tips. What about Q5 2.0TFSI Hybrid, petrol/electric 211 hp, 2012? I’ve heard that the fuel consumption is 15 mpg, not 34 mpg as per Audi specs!! And I also heard that the car jitters a lot at low speed when switching from electric to petrol mode and vice versa. Thinking to buy one but I’m not sure…
@vascocarvalhodesousa680710 ай бұрын
Wondering how this ended up, as I'm thinking now in buying either Q5 2.0TFSI Hybrid 211hp 2012 (170.000 km) or Q5 2.0 TDI 190cv 2015 (167.000km).

Hi Justin. My dad just bought me a 2012 Audi Q5 3.2. I've had it for several months and nothing major is wrong with the car. My only problem is that the gas cap keeps leaking which causes the "Malfunction Indicator Lamp" light to come on. I just received a new gas cap and so far the light has not come on. Also when I go over major bumps I can hear a certain noise on the panoramic sunroof (not loud but it is just a small thump sound). Gladly, the sunroof does not leak when it is parked outside and raining. Otherwise, nothing is wrong with the car and I love it. Audi told my parents NOT to get the 2.0 engine. Now I can see why because my friend got a 2011 Audi A4 2.0. I have never seen her drive her car for more than a week straight because the engine either keeps shaking or it just shuts down. Thanks for the advice!

Oliver S Is the 2.0 engine really that bad? I’m looking at the 2012 Q5 for my first car and the majority of Q5s in my area have the 2.0 engine.

Michael Wang In 2017, the 2010-2011 Audi 2.0 engines are plagued with problems…next year it may be the 2012 2.0 engines that are plagued. Honestly, and with all of the problems I saw my friend go through, I wouldn’t recommend the 2.0 engine unless you are buying one in a 2015-current model year. I hope this helps.

Re: Autostop. Vehicle must be warmed up to function. If it does not function, there may be 1 of 2 issues. Electronic or bad battery. If the battery is weak, the autostop senses this and ceases to function. And...You are in a truck reviewing buying a used Q5?

You mention the 2.0t has timing chain tension issues. The 2.0t is timing belt. please explain
@UltraNsx253 жыл бұрын
the Q5 comes out in America just timing chain only. The issues on this type of car is the tensioner, and oil consumption. If you have a Q5 that the mileage is over 75000 miles I suggest you do a timing chain job because of the faulty design tensioner so might as well replace all the chains and guides since you already doing a tensioner replace.

I have a 2011 with the 3.2 with 182k miles and it feels like it's got another 180k in reserve Also had a 2007 A4 with the 3.2 that I traded with 140k on it no problems. I like it better than the 2.0T. I'd buy a SQ before I would consider the four banger.

stay away from the 2.0 TFSI engine. Many of them have serious oil consumption issues that will at some point lead to an extremely expensive engine repair or damage.

I paid $200 for a mechanic to check out 3 cars in the NYC metro area last year when i shopped for my SQ5 - didnt have the time to travel and do it myself. He charged me $100 for the first car and $50 for each additional. The first SQ5 i was after was a lemon, best money i ever spent. IDK how people buy cars WITHOUT doing this.

Got my Audi from an Audi dealer and took it to another Audi dealer to pick apart doesnt matter who you take em to they are either complete junk or they run fine for a long time nobody can tell you anything your not going to see or feel on your own if you take it out for a ride.mine was fine a few months and started to implode immediately after. And the dealer i took it to is considered one of the best in the state so you never know.
