in my opinion the 6 series gran coupe is one of BMWs most beautiful cars. it is not very common but every time i see one it really is stunning and is a head turner

thanks for the review. very detailed from a buyer's perspective. I've given Audi and mercs, dunno about bmw, how's the reliability of the 6s, heard electronic nightmares from the 7s, care to share ownership experience? contemplating this 6s purchase. thanx in advance!

+jaykayelle2 it's very reliable. Like i mentioned in the review, the sharing of components in top rung bmws means there are little bespoke critical components, which means it's pretty much a larger 235i or 240i as it's the same transmission and engine.

Mr Bobby, would you explain what are the common parts to check (and change) when purchasing a 6~10 years old car?
@BobbyAngmalaysia4 жыл бұрын
Check for oil leaks. Check interior quality. Nothing else because they need a full proper maintenance anyway since it is already beyond the duration with which the parts are designed to last. So to give yourself a peace of mind, check if the expensive wear and tears were replaced, alternators, steering or suspension big components etc. And then give your car a full fluid transfusion, steering oil, brake oil, differential oil, transmission oil, engine oil, radiator flush, aircond service, bushings and mountings, coil packs, spark plugs, filters etc. Then your car will be feeling as good as new. But if the previous owner is someone who can afford the maintenance anyway, and has been regularly servicing it, just buy and drive. The above mentioned only applies if you buy a car from a broke fella hahaha

Lovely purchase! 4 of my friends ordered one as well. When is your scheduled collection date? BMW Malaysia ran out of the X5xDrive40e ... so I won't be able to get a unit for review haha ... will have to figure a way to do it. :) Just wanna know, did you test out the Volvo XC90 as well before deciding on the X5?
@samzz84158 жыл бұрын
Bobby Ang thanks! Will get mine arnd may-june nxyear..i'm very tempted to test & get the xc90 at first but then again i'm a volvo owner..so i'm actually trading in my current volvo xc60 for new experience with bmw..let's see how well the x5 hybrid will do in long term..

Great video. I am considering a 2014 640i convertible. Have you had any issues where you had to take it to the dealer for repair? I'm 6'3" will my head touch the roof or will I be okay?
@BobbyAngmalaysia7 жыл бұрын
+Keith Curro no issues at all. They seem to be very reliable these days (touch wood). 6'3" is completely ok. It's a great car!

Excuse me....do you mean 300,000 dollars or malaysia currency?
@BobbyAngmalaysia7 жыл бұрын
Malaysian currency of course. Our car's are super expensive. The new car price of this 640i was about $260,000 USD when it was new.

Imagine if you want to earn RM15,000 a month. Divide it by 30 days, then per day is RM500. Per day let's say we work 10 hours, then each hour you need to earn RM50. Then think what kind of business allows you to make RM50 an hour? If you want to be a successful nasi lemak seller, then if each hour if you have 50 customers, then that means you need to at least have 15 tables in your restaurant that each seats 4 person minimum. And then each customer who sits down will let you earn at least RM5 per person with a RM10 bill. There's no such thing as given rezeki. It's just how we look at everything scientifically and aim for it if we want to.
