These guys are all the same, he knew your limits, they hope for you to be heavily invested emotionally in the car they're selling so "you will cave" & take their deal. Went through the same damn thing a year ago the end of 2016 on my present Challenger. I walked away then on the last day of the year went a back over a week later & got my deal which was the 6K off I asked for in the first place, bastards.

Brother I feel your pain I just went through this buying my SRT but I was not as contained as you and let it rip on the showroom floor without pause because I couldn’t believe the stupidity and waste of my time never mind the BS. Keep after it you will find that deal 👍🏻

Yay man I dont get excited and don't expect anything anymore. One small dealership tried to sell me a 13 year old 2004 PT cruiser for $8800 when the comps where 4500 at the highest. The listed price was $6,900. Crook dealership at Oxnard California, I drove 4 hours thinking I was gonna give them no more than $6000 cash. Assholes that take advantage of the poor. Car paint was pealing on the side and car needed tires and rotors because of rust. 8800 dollars is disgusting.

I don't know how you like buying cars I'm in the market right now for a new rebel and a new hellcat buying both cash and it's the most stressful thing in the world to buy besides a house.they really don't want to cut you a break when you're paying cash because they don't get to add And their little extras makes no sense to me

C.V Impossible to answer your question without knowing what market, what options, how long the car has been sitting, what incentives are available, etc. If you’re paying cash though (or getting financing through your own bank or credit union ) DO NOT tell them that until you settle on an out the door price for the vehicle. Dealerships make money with financing, and they’re more likely to give you a good price on a car if they think they can make up for it in the finance charges. If you tell them ahead of time that you’re not going with their financing, they have less incentive to give you the lowest price possible.

barbaric1 I dont have any regrets getting my SRT (or the SRT8 before that). And honestly there are plenty of days when I think that my SRT is perfect and plenty of car for me. But with the drops in prices on used ‘Cats, its hard to not look. Three years ago dealers were marking these cars up 10, 20, 30k... now new Cats are losing $20k just driving them off the lot. Its a great time to be shopping for them, specially while interest rates are still low.
