I was with my family and well away from the crowds when this took place. I was in totality in central Ohio and uploaded my video. I was blessed to see both the 2017 and 24 eclipses in totality.

The Total Solar Eclipse due on 12th August 2045 is going to be a big one when the path of totality sweeps across 15 US states... They reckon the moon will completely block the sun for 6 minutes and 6 seconds

The moon is right next to the sun. You just can’t see it because its dark side is facing the earth and because of the brightness of the sun.

no way they are clapping at the moon lol
@DNBAnnex3 ай бұрын
Where is the moon?? Why can't you see the moon? Why can't it be seen before or after the eclipse?
@sbinsdca3 ай бұрын
You normally see the moon when the sun illuminates it. If the moon is between the earth and the sun, it's a black disk or new moon. The disk sliding across the sun during a solar eclipse IS the moon. You can't perceive the new moon because of the sun's brightness. The shadow projected onto Earth is where the total or partial eclipse is visible from Earth.

I wonder if other planets also have solar eclipse
@Sueb186313 ай бұрын
Good question. You'd need a sun and a moon that were the right size and the moon would have to be on the right orbit and the right distance from the planet and the sun to block it out entirely.

me pregunto por que no se ve la luna, antes del eclipse, es decir: se deberia ver la luna acercando se al sol hasta taparlo...
@David659-3 ай бұрын
