I have an anxiety disorder that makes every day a struggle. I've been trying to get into journaling for a while to help me cope, but I couldn't push myself to do it. Your videos are really motivating me to take that step. Thank you!

Thanks for watching, and I hope you can get into journaling. Journaling has helped with my anxiety and depression over the past decade *so much.*

I'm currently using the same red journal you show at 4:28. It's so weird and cool to see how different two identical journals can look when they are used by different people!

Neat. It really is cool how different journals or supplies can seem so different after we all use them.

You’re such an inspiration to me! I just started journaling again and I’m 14. I’m on journal #8. Thanks for making your videos!!! Never stop.

Aw, thank you! That makes my day. I’m glad you got back into journaling, and congrats on #8. They’re really neat to look back on later, and a great tool to have trying to figure out what you want in life/get through school/decide on colleges or jobs for later/figure out friendships too. :)

TheJournalCEO That’s definitely true! And I’ve found that little me has taught me lessons that I’ve forgotten.

I just started a pocket bullet journal about 5 days ago and I’m almost finished it, lol,(well I will be filling in my trackers as I go)

Sooo many journals, it's cool that you write the year of each journal I often ask myself why I journal. But then I forget about asking that and I just keep journaling 😂 I think I maily started journaling cause my mom is a writer. When I was younger I used to write stories and eventually I began character journals, which is how I journal today

You are so right about a big journal being daunting sometimes. What is the brand of the huge journal you finished in 3 months? It looks like it is the perfect size page. Thanks for showing your journals. Great KZbin live. It sounds like your accent is different tonight. Stay cool.
@TheJournalCEO6 жыл бұрын
The huge one is a "Made in Italy for Barnes & Noble - Brown Rosane Leather Medallion" journal. The page size really is perfect, about 5 x 7. I loved this thing. Thanks for joining in the KZbin live from your rural southern cave and everything! :D You're too kind. That was the best time with you guys... even though I made you all sit in the corner at one point b/c of my crappy internet. And also so I could find my thongs from Yankeedom. hahaha. I'm gonna have nightmares about elderly woman in thongs for a few decades now. My accent can get pretty intense when I talk fast. At least I didn't have to say rural route 8 while searching for po boys again. 😅 I might have to play that old VHS tape of me when I was 3 years old during a KZbin Live someday... my accent is just 💀💀💀👻👽. Anyone who reads this comment who wasn't there is going to be so weirded out, yay!

If you mean the big brown thick book, she answered the question for someone else. I'll copy/paste her answer here for ya: "The huge one is a "Made in Italy for Barnes & Noble - Brown Rosane Leather Medallion" journal. The page size really is perfect, about 5 x 7. I loved this thing. "

I love to watch archives of journals! Thank you for posting it! I have just one question-aren’t you worried that someone’s could read them? Or you don’t write anything that could embarrass you? For me not writing everything that I thought is not really journal writing
@TheJournalCEO6 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you liked the video. I’m not too worried about people reading my journals. I write anything and everything. If someone violates my trust during my lifetime and reads them, any shock or hurt feelings are on them. I’m not very easily embarrassed usualy. If I’m not alive and my journals get read, it wouldn’t phase me either way. I do keep my used journals in a locked footlocker to ‘feel’ more private. I would also be careful with journals if I had young kids who might read them and not understand that adults sometimes get frustrated but that it doesn’t mean I don’t care about them. I don’t sensor journals anymore... there’s some dark shit in there, some happy memories, and plenty of socially ‘embarassing’ topics in them, but it’s all part of life. :)
@mysummertouch6 жыл бұрын
TheJournalCEO do you make electronic copy of them, I.e. make photos and put in on the external memory or in the clouds?
@TheJournalCEO6 жыл бұрын
No, I don’t digitally backup my journals. I like them to be a single private copy that doesn’t need digital maintainence or file conversions over the decades, and that feels more private. For childhood photos and some nostalgic letters from family over the years, I’ve got offsite backups in multiple formats and data centers for those.

I was looking through your videos and I saw one of your videos saying that you finished fifteen journals in the span of nine years and now reading the description it says eleven years of journaling and seventh filled! Wow twenty journals filled in the span of two years! I have been journaling for almost two years cause my journal anniversary is next month but I only am only finishing up my ninth journal right now… wow I wish I could finish up my journals up as fast
@TheJournalCEO6 жыл бұрын
I do have about 70 filled used daily journals in 11.5 years or so of regular journaling. I have a handful, maybe 4 or 5, of filled childhood diaries that took a number of years though. Some of my journals a few years ago when I was filling 8-9ish solid journals a year had some art collages in them too, so my speed definitely vairies. :) Congrats on the 2 year journal anniversary!

I know it's not the best store, but if you have a walmart, or any bargain shop near you, I would just check and see if they have something you might like that is affordable. I happened across some cool journal books that have a dot-grid (it's like graph paper, but instead of lines its just dots) which is fairly tricky to find unless you special order them.
