It would be cutting it close although I think he could get away with it. Even benchmarking I doubt that system would pull more than 400w. I usually overkill when I buy psus like 600-850w but I have a friend who runs a 4790k and gtx 970 off of a evga 430w without any problems.

Yeah as long as its all packaged well, I had a card die in the past from being loose in the suit case... never again, they don't pull you over, even if they did you can just say they are what they are some parts you bought second hand. or new they don't care too much.

@DeanGrey7 жыл бұрын

@liz30507 жыл бұрын
depends on what you want to do. if you really like tinkering with overclocking buy a 1600. If you don't care buy an 8400 BUT you'll have to wait until the budget motherboards are there which will be early 2018.
@Najvalsa7 жыл бұрын
If you need an iGPU get the 8400, otherwise get the 1600. Not only are there no budget 300 boards yet, so getting an 8400 with a Z370 kind of defeats its purpose, it will also give you 5 or 10 FPS more at best if you have a 1080 Ti, if you're pairing it with something like a GTX 1070/V56 or less then there'll be no difference in gaming. But, you'd be sacrificing the longer lasting AM4 platform and the 6 extra threads, which are more useful in DX12 and Vulkan titles, by getting an 8400 over a 1600.

Used PC Part in Thailand, most of them are dirt cheap, the merchants repressed buy-in price to much. But Internet seller sell them even cheaper.Especially when compare to some items that have ridiculous price tag on ebay.However the low-rank items, as you found out, sometime not that cheap. And High-end used items are rather difficult to obtained.

Dude, dont carry the goods with you, you can ship them from the post office directly to your place and it won't cost you much ive dont it in the past, it does take about a month but totally worth it. i shipped about 30KG for 2200 baht i think.

Are there those huge plazas with only Tech Stores? I need to go there I have the feeling there are more shops with used parts in one of those Plazas than in my entire country. Because I have never seen one here. I know they exist somewhere (probably in bigger cities) because some of those stores were buying my used stuff on ebay before. I've to get my stuff from private people on the equivalent of craigslist but it's slow to get good stuff in my area because first there is not a lot and second most of them don't know what their stuff is worth and are asking way to much and I really really suck at haggling like big time so I don't even bother.

@Tech YES City i just got a gtx 760 2 gb for only 15 dollars, guy said it gave him error 46 all the time but it still runned on vga graphics (1600x1200). turns out the guy tried to install custom bios firmware but the card became too instable becuz of it and he couldnt change custom firmware with gigabyte easyboost. i changed bios with a custom nvflash with presigned drivers and reinstalled the original bios, it worked like a charm, just played pubg ans rust 1080p 60fps and couldnt be happier...... sweet deal right and i didnt have to go full bogan on the guy

Aero T.m well i wouldnt do it, if you dont feel confident, or if you cant miss the money.... this was my first time flashing a gpu bios, but i was confident the videocard still worked becuz it still put out a signal, no stripes, and he said the fans still work, which meant it wasnt anything hardware related, it was software related and once you flash the bios and update nvidia drivers, it should work... still took me 2 hours too do.... lots of instability on the old bios xd
Nicholas Zen it is though? competitive settings are reallllyyyyyy easy

Hey Tech YES City, I thought as a bargain deal hunter you'd like to hear this story of how I got an X58 motherboard combo for $20. Recently I started volunteering at my local FreeGeek (they're an America-based computer store and recycling center, not sure if you've heard of them). They have a program where if you volunteer at their place doing recycling and building computers/refurbishing them for 24 hours. you can spend $75 worth of credit at their store. In their store, they had a Gigabyte EX58-UD5, i7-950, 6gb of OCZ gold ram, and intel stock cooler combo for $95. But since I had my credit, I got it for a whopping total of $20.

Actually Living in Thailand for the past 13 years, store employees don't like to sell. They rather play with their mobile phones and wait till the day ends. Its really sad and only started happening in the last 5 years. One of the bad things of low or no commission on sales. Thailand's second hand market doesn't have good deals. End up buying new from USA when i go back every few years.

I really agree with you. Thailand is a really bad place to get deals on second hand parts.
