Useful Remy Combos in 3rd STRIKE!

Goddman, being playing SF3: 3S, Remy for decades and learnt a lot after the initial combos. I’ve never seen an explanation of the LOV’s combo-ing into each other; and never, ever, ever, seen J.Hk cross-up.

Random ass Remy thing: Yearrrrrs ago (like 2014 or something), I figured out you can kara LOVs by starting the Sonic Machinegun like normal, and then inputting high LOVs as HK~LP and lows as MP~LK. Keep it up and you can choo-choo train your way across the screen to close the gap while keeping up the pressure. Maybe everybody does it and I'm just not paying attention, but I feel like I've never really seen it used much? Anyway, great vid, music selection is always ice cold.

Yeah it was funny when I first started playing Remy I kept accidentally doing kara LOV when practicing the machine gun/split charge thing, but later on when I actually tried to sit down and purposely do it then it became a struggle lol. I honestly feel like there might be 100% combo variation on Q using kara LOV after the super meter has been spent, but it's been mad difficult for me to figure it out so far. Also whether intentional or not I have seen Japanese Remy players do kara LOV in matches, which as you stated, is probably best used as a pressure tool to close a gap. Thanks!

I just do it raw, MP then quickly press up + kick button, but apparently there are easier ways to do it.

You simply have to hold the punch input you used to perform the Hayate and then shortly after input any kick button to cancel, I prefer HK, and the animation of the Hayate has to occur first before you can cancel it, so this isnt like a plinking or kara cancel type of thing.

I'm not a Makoto player so I really don't know anything about Makoto gameplay other than how top tier she is and a struggle to play against, lol, but now that I think about it, since it's obviously used as a feint to get your opponent to react, I'd assume with that simple fact that conditioning your opponent to block against your hayate pressure can result in you utilizing the hayate cancel to then be able command grab them. It's probably very good in okizeme situations.

You're doing the kara the really hard way, try releasing Up before doing it The Up input starts a 10f timer for flashkick, so you can return to neutral if you hide it behind another animation and it's a lot more lenient. I can hit the midscreen 3-piece like 70% of the time now and I haven't really practiced it that much

Another tip is to kara the CBK if you have the height to off of a launcher vs an aerial opponent. I've found that the flashkick connecting seems to be a purely distance based thing, so kara'ing everything makes the whole thing more reliable to go for
