Banlist Suggestions: Chain Gun - Despite its shaky accuracy, it has one of the fastest firing rate in the game. Even if Chlorophyte Bullets and Crystal Bullets are banned, other bullet types can still find ways to make this weapon broken, such as Nano Bullets ricocheting towards the nearest enemies even if the initial shots misses. Chlorophyte Shotbow - Has overall insane DPS, especially when paired with Archery Potion and Magic Quiver upgrades. Even if Holy Arrows is banned, its best ammunition, it still houses incredible DPS on its own, especially when paired with high damaging Arrows like Venom Arrows. There isn't a time I never NOT use this weapon in any of my Ranger playthroughs. It's just that good. Ichor Dart - Due to it splitting into 2 to 5 projectiles mid-air and also inflicting Ichor on impact, it is insanely powerful for overall DPS and overshadows all other Dart types. Even if Dart-based weapons are seldom used, it is still plenty powerful at the time of acquisition (early Hardmode). Snowman Cannon - Thanks to this weapon granting homing capabilities to all Rocket types, it is good for both mobbing and bossing, thus it is way too good to be used on normal playthrough as a Ranger. Stynger - As a post- Golem drop, it possesses powerful carpet-bombing properties that can easily plow through events like Pumpkin Moon and Frost Moon events. It deals double damage if the initial projectile is a direct hit, which can make it into a rather decent bossing tool. Tactical Shotgun - Because of this weapon having autofire, its overall DPS is impressive post-Plantera, especially when paired with bullets such as Exploding Bullets for mobbing or High Velocity Bullets for general use. In closed spaces, Nano Bullets will bounce off to the nearest enemies they can find. Anything not included on this list are fine to use, excluding the ones already on the banlist and by proxy, the Super Star Shooter is banned by default because it requires the Star Cannon itself. Other than that, it is definitely a breath of fresh air to see underrated weapons being used in a 'normal' playthrough.

Given that prehardmode has come to an end, I think it's time for some early hardmode underrated ranger weapons. The Ice and Shadowflame Bows are basically the same as Marrow, and should do pretty good against mechs. Toxikarp is also a weapon that exists, according to the wiki. Aerial Bane after Golem is actually really good, but I don't know about its little brother Phantom Phoenix from the Ogre. Great series, loving the use of niche weapons.

I know its a bit late, but you can use ebon, crim or pearl sand with the sand gun for a boost in damage and piercing. Some weapons I'd like to see you use are: flamethrower, gatligator and piranha gun

I’m not entirely certain but I think that corrupted/crimson sand deals more damage with the sand gun. Additionally I think that the ammo conservation buff applies to sand fired from the gun thus potentially making sand a farmable resource

Hey Happy! Ive been really enjoying this series, I used to watch your let's plays many years ago and only just got back into watching! (Gracie the gunslinger was my favourite!) I have a few items I think you should consider banning: -Dart Pistol/Rifle - This weapon combined with crystal darts is one of the most insane combinations in the game in my opinion, it will decimate the destroyer especially if you put a roof on your arena and makes doing anything underground a breeze. I do think you should consider using this weapon after one mech-boss is down to apply effects I just think using it against the first mech boss would be too strong. (I don't feel like this weapon is used very much so I'd completely understand you not wanting to ban this one) -Tactical Shotgun - It can deal an unbelievable amount of damage up close especially if your underground with meteorite bullets. -Xenopopper - Very high single target DPS that can trivialize a few of the later game challenges. -Snowman Cannon - Maybe not OP as such but I feel like its quite strong and there are many more interesting alternatives. I feel like there are plenty of extremely interesting alternatives at that these stages of progression for the game to still be fun without these items. For example I'd really like to see you try making a viable build with things like the Electrosphere launcher, candy corn rifle, elf melter, Jack 'O lantern Launcher. Fun fact: Deerclops is the only Boss that you can die to without It despawning, so you can do like a pre-eye Deerclops being basically a free fight, you just set a spawn box in the snow biome. I did this in my summoner playthrough and i got Chester and the turret, that was some insane luck

Another great video Happy! For another weapon on the ban list, you should add the Dart Pistol. Most people don’t bother since they can get Deadalus, but I’d consider it an OP weapon, especially with Ichor darts.

For the non op weapons video I suggest banning the sanguine staff, the blade staff, the cool whip, the spider staff, the kaleidoscope and the terra blade. Hope this makes the non op weapons run more fun!

i don't agree with ichor bullets being banned because their only benefit over a musket ball is base damage and applying ichor, which is identical to the allowed ichor arrow, both of which are inferior to the ichor dart, which offers a massive dps boost as well as performing better against crowds than a standard dart also, something to consider: the eventide is available at a similar point in progression to when one would typically go for the tsunami, and does about 75% of the tsunami's base dps if both hit every arrow, and this difference is only widened when you factor in damage boosts from arrows accessories armor and modifiers, and additionally when using special arrows one projectile doesn't arc which will bring down dps, so with all that considered, does second best count as overpowered?

I've compiled a list of such weapons and my opinions on them Phantom Phoenix: Extremely mid, decent with holy arrows but just use the stormbow Nailgun: Heavily outclassed and difficult to use properly Candy Corn Rifle: Decent for crowds but outclassed by... Stake Launcher: Probably the best ranged weapon for crowd control in the game, absolutely busted Jack O Lantern Launcher: It's ok, not great though Elf Melter: after its buff it's an amazing and versatile weapon that can be used in basically every scenario Snowman Cannon: does anyone NOT use this??? Xenopopper: Kinda bad if you have to move around a lot Electrosphere Launcher: Unforgiving but one of the best weapons for single target damage and shredding the Cultist Aerial Bane: Basically the same as Electrosphere Launcher, an unforgiving powerhouse

Can we all just agree that the cannon is a range weapon? Its like a range weapon, but i dont think it does range damage? I want to see someone to use it. I have never used it myself… it might be fun to use it against the destroyer! Also, flamethower and/or elf melter might be fun and people dont use them a lot i think? Toxicarp and piranha gun are my last 2 recommandations! 4PM PDT is 1 AM CEST right? Dont think i will make that, but might watch it back tomorrow!

So, uh, we ever going to actually name the Slime Pet? Still rooting for Cinnamon by the by. And now that we're in Hard Mode, it's... honestly hard to figure out what should be banned or not, as imo, everything has good case to be made for why it should be banned, except maybe the pre-Mech Hardmode Ore Repeaters and the Ice Bow, Marrow, and Shadowflame Bow. And I don't want this playthrough to be just those weapons.

Now time for Hard Mode. This will probably go without saying, but the Megashark and Super Star Shooter should be banned. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I would try using the Dart Rifle/Pistol with Crystal Darts, they're pretty underused, and are like the next progression for the Blowpipe line of weapons.
