I have heard of cases where a mother in law became so good at copying her daughter in law’s signature that she was able to forge it on many credit card applications. The only thing that stopped her in the end was that the daughter in law got a job at a company that runs background checks or something (forgot what it was, it was over 30 years ago I heard this story) for credit card companies.

Where and how do people like James and Tracy get such “entitlement”? Plus, the more “entitled” they think they are, the more difficult it is for them to understand and accept, let alone deal with, objective reality.

@@laurenmentink7401 The stuff that good satire is made of. After all, who do they think they’re kidding? 😂
@grammasscotsgirl Жыл бұрын
I have a narcissistic father. Oh the entitlement! And if he does realize he is wrong? He pushes even harder to prove his initial point knowing it is wrong because there is no way he would ever be wrong - so pushing it will eventually make it right - somehow - or at the very least, the other person will just give up and they have the feeling of "victory". Narcissisists are not the most intelligent - they just know how to bully and push their own ideas until everyone gives up and gives them their way. And if they happen to receive pushback? "Oh poor me!" and "I didn't do anything!" and "It isn't MY fault!"
@CarmenFlores-id8dh Жыл бұрын
@@grammasscotsgirl I can also bear witness to that. During my formative years, I was surrounded by elders who had a “mild” form of narcissism. It’s called guilt-tripping - a tactic that they would use when things didn’t align with them in some way: a difference of opinion, a clarification of something that they had misunderstood, a moment when they weren’t the center of attention or didn’t receive the attention that they wanted and considered themselves all too entitled to. On the up side, interaction with them taught me how to deal with this ilk - namely silently let them ramble on and walk away once they’ve “had their say”. Granted, that didn’t sit well with them, either; but, at least I learned to not waste my time and energy trying to reason with those who simply refuse to listen to it.

I don't mind the divorce especially since James was really a jerk who went crying to mommy because he couldn't be bothered to help his own wife with their ABCs of marital duties. Once again forging a signature on legal documents should be addressed by the courts. But punishment did come for Tracy's bullying and forging her DIL's signature, when her son basically does the same thing to her.
