I found this very interesting. The four lives (two for each sister) and how they each dealt with the same circumstances. The FL didn’t actually DO anything to the SFL, except make sure she got the wedding she herself wanted, and then she let the chips fall where they may. It was all about the choices they made. (And the SFL was definitely heading for crazy town pretty much from the beginning!😳) This was perfectly illustrated when the FL says that she was always going to have a better life no matter what, because she was willing to work for it. And it was nice to see she got her happy life the second time around!

I think so too... Red flag all over the place... He not only had time for the saviour amd only started taking time to look at the FL after she made herself clear that it was a marriage contract and calling him (well deserved) "narcisistic peacock" and all that... Which I found it hilarious... LOL And like you said, I wish she continued her strong female "I don't need a man" thought amd get rish on her own... But, something that is REALLY common in this dramas, is that, FL temd to always have a strong resolve until the 2ML or ML saves them from being r**ed or killed... The "saviour" thing is really startung to get annoying at this point... I've only saw a veee|ry few dramas that FL is reborn and just relies on her own stremgth and knowledge from the previous life... There's always or a 2ML or a big background family to support her... Sometimes adding a 2ML which is the FL's "childhood kiss" (promised mareiage by the elders of the family or childhood sweetheart that becomes a strong financial tycoon of the sorts...

Yes!! This is the second version of the costume drama swap marriage where the husbands are a scholar and a general and both have a twist! The twist in this one is that the 2ML recalls the previous life, the OG version... I won't say incase no one has seen it yet. I've seen four OG versions and now three of them have spun a second version. The only OG version that doesn't have a second version is where the ending is a reborn cycle. Love how FL took her second chance for herself. She didn’t let anyone bring her down. She got married and made the best of the marriage to where she could get ahead. FL didn’t bend down or let ML take advantage of her. ML side chick is crazy and FL didn’t care about their relationship with each other. FL got her revenge on everyone who hurt her. The first life husband’s brothers and mother all went to jail. FL finally told SML how of a coward he was and didn’t face any consequences. ML finally came around and accepted his marriage and wife. I do believe ML did like FL but was not able to really show his true feelings except being cold and would rescue her when she is in trouble. SFL is crazy no matter what life she chose. FL told her no matter what you have to work hard to make your life better. Happy life for FL.

Maybe it’s because I’ve seen the period piece version of this story, I found the elder sister to be much more manipulative and cold in this one - less sympathetic overall. She didn’t really set out to do harm or revenge but she also didn’t try to right wrongs. ML gave his usual aloof but gentle performance but there was very little chemistry between them to root for. 2FL gave a strong, firy performance as the “villain” of the story but lacked a redemption arc like the 2ML, which I was a little surprised to see. Over all, I think I was a little disappointed by this version through no fault of theirs, I just thought the period piece was done better and more generally more sympathetic lead. 6/10 would recommend.
