Hey Everyone! Thank you to everyone interacting with this vlog! Just a quick note on my volume. My Sennheiser mic is new and in its loudest setting but annoyingly - it's still super quiet. I have to bring down the volume of everything else to match or it would blow your eardrums out. I have no idea why a 'top quality' mic would pick up volume so quiet! If anyone knows a solution, I am all ears! But hopefully, despite the quietness (wack your volume up folks!) - the sound is clear. Thanks all!

But with EURO5 legislation I don't think it is so easy these days. Don't you need to replace the full exhaust line (no slip-on allowed). I might be wrong, or I hope I am.

Honda’s nailed it with this one-good top-end shocks, proper brakes, and a lively engine to boot. And they’ve nailed the price too-2k less than Suzuki and miles cheaper than Yamaha and KTM. Finally, a big-name brand has stepped up with something that’s gonna properly shake up the industry! 👍

Following KTM's decline, prices ranged from £17,000 to £12,000, and amid the bankruptcy proceedings and subsequent revelations, no warranty included/provided. I believe that not only KTM customers will transition to the new Honda, but it is poised to become the best-selling motorcycle of 2025. Ps I love my 750 Honet on my channel!

It's not cheap, it's just that the others are too expensive. This is a good price correction, it's where bikes should be price-wise. When you think a bog standard KTM 990 is almost £13k and the 990R at £15k. Well done Honda for taking the lead

You cannot know that without knowing the costings of all the bike companies, which have faced massive price increases in their supplies over recent years. Honda can do this on a sheer scale basis but I don’t think any of the others can. Note the demise of KTM, who would have been stunned by this direct rival.

@ yes I can. Just look at the hugely inflated prices we have been paying in the uk for years. This is a not tax or a duty but the manufacturers applying a premium to the UK market. This has been corroborated by many independent studies

Yamaha pricing is fine, $8500 US for an MT07, $10,500 for an MT09. For me those are the sweet spot. I personally don't want/need 150 hp even if it's the same price as Yamahas middleweight.

I have a '14 CB1000R bought new in 2015 as a leftover model in the US for $7,200. As soon as I got her home I installed a Yoshimura cat delete 3/4 exhaust and the uncorked engine now sings just as she should. If this bike is at all as good and it sure appears to be cut from the same cloth you can't go wrong. Nice review thanks.

Phenomenal review because you're straight and to the point style is refreshing. Versus a long winded historical perspective on another channel. The scenery through the Spain was perfect and the exhaust didn't sound like a sewing machine.

Best review by far! - so far. I love that Kate talks about and shows the emotions when riding the bike. Everyone else is just stats. Kate expresses opinions. Great review, top work, and made me massively doubt my choice of next bike. I want an XSR900, but this is cheaper and more power, better brakes and shock. If only it had cruise control. I'd 100% be on this bike 😬🤦‍♂️

New sub. Great Channel. Kate. You have been the only reviewer so far to actually tackle the naughty bits. The welding on your bike was absolutely shocking. I dropped my bike for a commuter. A Honda CB125R. Great mpg/range. The throttle twitch is digital. Same as you described. It's on or off. I honestly think it's dangerous for new riders. A wet roundabout. Roll off throttle even a millimetre? The front dives. It's the same with the CB650R. It's about time somebody was honest. Thank you.

That’s a really well presented review of this bike Kate, and what tremendous value. I ride a Ducati at present, but I do wish manufacturers would take notice that price is a massive factor and the best selling bikes these days are cheaper, smaller capacity bikes. Well done Honda for producing a larger reasonably priced naked for the majority.

Another great review Kate. Seems like you should have been in front of that other rider on the twisty roads. Holding you back? Looked like it to me. What Honda seems to be doing is reducing its per unit profit and betting on volume sales to gain it back. We riders who want the performance package at a reasonable price are also winners in that formula. Well done Honda. It should also force the other brands hand to do the same to stay in the game. Hurry up !!

Looked like a fantastic ride on a great bike. With the Hornets and the Transalp, Honda have shifted gear from a polished, premium-priced machine for those willing to pay a little more to bonkers value on relatively basic but still great bikes at prices to make even the Chinese manufacturers blush. The quote of the day... month... maybe year has to be "as smooth as slug snot" for the auto blipper and quick shifter. Perfectly described. I might be wrong (probably) but the front suspension looks to be on one fork leg only that seems a tad odd as I can't see a fork brace but I'm getting on a little bit and I'm sure that things have changed a lot so probably a non issue. I rarely used to twiddle the front suspender settings much anyway as most changes that I made the bike made back then made my bikes it less hop on and ride for an all rounder on the road. Many thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the review Kate. Jealous... I'd love to try one. Having said that, IMO Yamaha still seems to be on top of their game. Bike for money alternative MT-09 has a sweet roar and grunt low and mid range. There's no need to ring it, so much more fun in town. The IMU is also a huge deal, you can give it all the beans you want it won't slam down the throttle when wheel goes up a bit, it just puts it down nicely when aids are on. As much as I love it the CB1000 just doesn't hold up to MT09 never mind MT10 without the electronics. If you ride it gently, this Hornet is a lovely bike. If you disable the aids and have the skills, probably too. But if you are in between and want peace of mind, then sorry, this might noy be for you. It sure isn't for me from what I see and hear.

@@tomroberts7195 I have an MT10 that I don't ride much, it's just too much bike. I ride my XSR900 much more. Lighter, more nimble, and plenty of power, never find myself needing more. So personally I'm not going to buy a high horsepower bike just because it's cheap. I'd rather have the lighter more nimble bike even if it costs the same.

@UsernameKate Yup...been following Delphi for nearly 8yrs...that's trolling on a different level, one of the corrupt cops somehow even managed to get the US NSA to reposition a SATALLITE, and sent images of her house and what was parked in her drive to one online sleuths who's getting too close to the truth...scary stuff, others got 'Swatted' !

Thanks Kate ....Personally I would pay extra for IMU (including as a cost option), as we're all capable of being caught by surprise). 2024 MT09 & 2025 Z900R both have IMU despite competitive purchase costs.

Best review so far, good bike got me interested as something different than a sports bike. Nice roads, whats it like on the longer roads using the top gears.

Great review young lady very well put together & very open and honest!!👍🏻 i would buy this amazingly priced bike if it was in a different colour as i love the gold wheels & forks but hate the black why only one option Honda you've missed out on selling shed loads of these not that they won't sell a lot at this price but they would have sold shed loads & it defo needs cruise & then it would be absolutely perfect!!😬👌🏻👍🏻

Just a thought regarding the snatchy throttle. I have a duc Monster 1200R and the throttle response is similar to what you described. On my machine it was remedied by fitting wee plastic spacers to the internal arrangement of the hand control. Might be an option for the Hornet, then again maybe not.
