@chrisblair4419 Жыл бұрын
Well my stove top is a partial disappointment. It's scratched. Got the baked on yuck off but the previous owner scratched it. All the other burner tops are shining. I tried some on my pan and nothing came off and these pans are not that old. Will try my refrigerator and toilet but if it does not work. I am getting my money back.
@ExpertHomeTips Жыл бұрын
It's understandable that you have high expectations for these cleaning products. While it worked well on some areas like your burner tops, it seems less effective on scratches and certain stains. Remember to follow the product's usage instructions carefully. If it doesn't meet your expectations, it's a good idea to consider returning it for a refund or exploring alternative cleaning products that better suit your needs.

The Pink Stuff cleaning paste is primarily designed for removing stubborn stains and grime from various surfaces, but caution should be exercised when using it on parquet flooring. Due to the delicate nature of wood flooring, it's advisable to follow manufacturer-recommended guidelines or consult a professional to ensure the product doesn't cause any damage.

@ExpertHomeTips Жыл бұрын
"The Pink Stuff" cleaning paste is typically safe for use on enameled cast iron cookware, like a Dutch oven, but it's wise to perform a patch test to check for any adverse effects. Alternatively, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water as a gentle, non-abrasive option for removing stains from the inside of your Dutch oven.

@ExpertHomeTips Жыл бұрын
It's important to consult the product's label or instructions to determine the safety and compatibility of the pink stuff cleaning paste with ceramic and porcelain tile. Yes on pans..mine were NOT that bad but a few minutes effort is great. I use induction units. (Like they have at show places when they’re trying to sell you a product) Even if your pan has some dirt on the bottom, it interferes with the magnetic part. So keeping your surface of the induction plus the bottom of a pan clean, you get a really tight effect. And it is noticeable. And induction pans are not that expensive. Crofton brand at Aldi’s or induction ready. Ikea’s 365 line of cookware and pans is induction. OK. Some Cuisinart pans are. Other stuff not so much. I always carry a little magnet in my purse when I am thrift shopping to see if a pan is magnetic. Not bad for a one dollar made at helping you pick up a nice pot that you may want to add to your induction cookware. And the pink stuff has some uses that are pretty good and some that aren’t but you learn. Overall not a bad product.

Would it be too abrasive to use on off white kitchen cabinets? Will it take the paint off?
@ExpertHomeTips11 ай бұрын
The Pink Stuff is abrasive, and while it's effective for cleaning, it may be too harsh for painted surfaces like off-white kitchen cabinets. Using abrasive cleaners on painted surfaces can potentially damage or remove the paint. It's recommended to choose a milder, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for painted surfaces to avoid any harm to the finish of your cabinets. Always test any cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it won't cause damage.

This is just another internet product being hyped by all of the wannabes. I have tried this on the bottom of my very well used frying pan and it was absolutely useless, it will remove soot and grime but the stuff on my pan has been burnt on and hardened over many years and this Pink stuff, along with numerous other so called miracle cleaners are absolutely useless at even reducing the residue never mind removing it. Please don't advise to make a paste, leave it overnight or it might take more than one application, I have done ALL OF THESE and it is STILL,CARP.. the only way I can see to remove this heavily burnt on substance would be some form of sand blasting, but that is much more expensive than a New pan, which if cleaned IMMEDIATELY AFTER EVERY, will stay looking like new. Otherwise don't get duped by the clever advertising and special gimmicks used to make you think that these types of cleaners are super, when they are not. PS even used the pink stuff with wire wool and it still could not make any inroads into cleaning my pan. And just for a fair comparison I tried it on my well used ceramic omelette pan and it still made no difference. Save ALL of your money and just replace your pan when you feel that it is past its life span, some of my pans are well over 10 years old, still cook great, without sticking, just don't look nice and shiny or spick and span, but I won't be changing them in the near future, unless the handle falls off.

If your pink stuff cleaning paste has become hard and dry, you can try revitalising it by adding a small amount of water and stirring until you achieve the desired consistency. It's considered environmentally friendly, as it’s advertised as non-toxic, biodegradable, and free from harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia. It’s still a good idea to use it in well-ventilated areas and check for any skin sensitivities, as it does contain surfactants and abrasives. I'd suggest checking out products with "Green Seal" or "EcoLogo" certifications.

Works just as well as any abrasive out there. I was disappointed

What other abrasives have you tried? They sound great!

I'm sorry to hear that you weren't impressed with the pink stuff cleaning paste. It's possible that the product may not work as well on certain surfaces or for certain types of cleaning tasks. To get the most out of your Pink Stuff cleaning paste, use the right amount, apply it to a damp cloth, test it on a small area first, use the right tools, and follow the instructions on the packaging. If it still doesn't work, consider trying a different cleaning product or method.

It's made of veg oil. So you're basically cleaning with chip pan fat. How stupid is that.

"The Pink Stuff" is a cleaning paste product that contains various surfactants and cleaning agents, but its primary ingredient is not vegetable oil or cooking oil. The exact formulation may vary depending on the specific product, but it's designed for effective cleaning on a wide range of surfaces.

@@ExpertHomeTips So why does it have the word vegan on the tub then? And lists veg oil in the contents. It's chip pan fat.

All soap is made from oil! And soap is the main ingredient in this product.
