lots of gouken's moves are based on ryu in 3rd strike which is canonically set after iv, he also have the moves in v

@@sunthi9619 Still, Ryu is a very limited character. Even with the parries and kicks, he just hasn't adapted like the rest of the cast has. In each game he's in, he's a good beginner character, but becomes quickly overshadowed by the other cast members and shows his limits as they get stronger and as each new character comes along.

I swear gouken is a sf5 ready character, just nerf his zoning game to the ground (basically unplayable) then remove invincibility on both his ex tatsu and ex flip, then he’d be as boring as everyone on the sf5 roster lmao
