After seeing Snake Eyez body so many people lately, I gotta say Momochi's gained some more points from me. Compared to his time in Super, Ultra is really his time to shine.

Momochi has always been, imo, the 2nd to 3rd best player from Japan for a long time. Ken was just so bad in ae....kinda held him back

*****​​ Im just so happy that it was him that won the biggest sf4 tourney of the yr. Ive been a fanboy for yrs. The yr he has had is quite impressive....2nd at CEO....7th at EVO...1st at SEAM...2nd at Topanga....and to top it off 1st at Capcom Cup....beating Snakeyes, Ryan Hart (run back), Infiltration, Bonchan, Luffy and Xian(2 sets). Tell me thats not a murder's row. And truly, only had a problem with Ryan Hart....Great year for EG Momochi!!!!

Sorry but,Snake Eyez, he was playing so bad :( Perhaps nervous I don't know. He lost do KnuckleDu and Momochi both because of an extraordinary lack of pacience from him. I mean, get a look at the many times he has eaten fireballs against those players! Where's the focus backdash to build ultra? He kept on walking forward, but instead of pulling incredible reactions he was being beaten by normals and fireballs! Sad!

Draxis32 he probably wasn't as on point as he usually is. The loss to nuckledu is an indicator considering he matches well against his characters. But against momochi I think he would still have a hard time considering his poke game is at a high level as well and Ken getting inside deals good damage.

BludAardvark I don't know man, is Chris Tatarian so far behind from Momochi? You could see in Snake Eyez he was so frustrated in the matches. He could have gotten way better punishes and could have been much more patient. You just see him eating fireballs for absolutely no reason. And we saw momochi making crucial mistakes that show's he didn't had that match up 100% in his head.

I really don't get why Snake Eyes never uses Ultra Combo Double. Sure, it reduces damage, but it takes away so many options from your opponent.

UC2 only takes options if your opponent is scared of it. When they only do as much as a regular spd people care less about the options they cover and the actual damage isn't as much of a payoff.

paleposter Yeah, but it can punish moves that are -2 on block (moves that are normally classified as safe). That's more than enough reason to use it.

Momochi has played against Itabashi Zangief for how many years? If Snake can't do what Itazan is doing.. He won't strike fear/Respect into the Japanese hearts.. American players wanna be dedicated so bad to beating Japanese players... But killed off our own training grounds to do so..

The only thing gief had was that light green hand after spd. You spend half your life getting that spd and now you can't even keep pressure going. This from a ken main. That's really unfair

Snake Eyez was bodied so bad because he didn't build meter effectively and Momochi was just that good. There were many times he could have just walked back and built meter safely with light green hand.

Nice job misquoting him. First off, he said, "I think I can beat everyone at Capcom Cup." That is no where near the same as saying it would be easy. Secondly, there is nothing wrong with him feeling confident about playing at Capcom Cup. He was one of only TWO US players who made top 8 at EVO this year, the other being Ricky Ortiz. So yeah, he's an amazing player who is also very humble about himself. Unless you watched some exclusive interview that no one knows about.
