As far as “loading”, and weight shift goes… I’ve found something that works perfectly. You gotta picture using your feet as a braking system. Apply the brakes with your right foot on the backswing. Then, apply the brakes with your lead foot through impact. This keeps you from swaying to the outsides of your feet, and helps you gain speed, and power from the ground properly.

This breaking feel is a good one. Thanks for sharing...

All good recommendations Todd to your three students! I've already been doing the first two, but I really liked your body speed suggestion with a practice swing starting from the left side of the body and one that I will work on! Well Done Todd!

I got the bad lie after research. I started my journey thinking I had created my “own thing” I got lost with traditional and moved vertical. I found the bad lie, then got your VLS course. I finally got one of my buddies to switch too. I am still bogey golf, but I play more consistently and have real good distance. 265-275 driver, 165+ 7 iron. Not bad for a “new experienced golfer”

This is a great story, thanks for sharing! The VLS system and The Bad Lie are changing the game for so many golfers, fun to see.

All good points!! Shifting the weight to the front leg works for me (60/40) on most shots and getting more vertical. Increasing more length/speed on the driver swing is something I will work on. I'm in the ATL area 👍

Thanks Todd. Looking forward to trying the "forward Start." REALLY appreciate the split view, especially the down-the-line showing ball flight. Have watched a Lot of "Instructional" stuff where the "Teacher" just says " yeah that flew." For all we know, he just hit a 40 yd. Blooper. You don't tell. You "show it." And that matters.

Todd - I enjoy your videos and they have been helpful for my "experienced" golf game. Would you consider doing a video on tips for indoor golfing (simulators and hitting nets & mats). For example, when I hit off a mat, I need to sweep the ball more than hit down on the ball with my irons. I live in Minnesota and we had our first snow over Halloween and my course will be closing for the season on November 5th.

Thanks for the kind words. Here are a few drills that you can do indoors to get you started kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2WUh6iNjcpohacsi=DwISvuOvkP5OrA-9

Todd, this is one awesome lesson and seeing it previously was what let me to leave the slice behind. I'm 82 and have been slicing for most of my golf life. For the past 2 years I slice only about 5 percent of my drives which are usually about 235 yards. So thank you! However, in this lesson you used a term that I have never understood. What does "turning the ball over" mean? What is the opposite of turning over the ball?
@USGOLFTVshow Жыл бұрын
Great question. Turning the ball over means getting it to move right to left for a right handed golfer, basically a similar term to hitting a draw. Are you following the Vertical Line Swing. See here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqDFfGSEYrNsp7ssi=6VF9ZWFJ1SVw-dxL
