I’m so happy Usher got an opportunity to share his mindset in putting together the spectacular Super Bowl celebration. The naysayers need to “chew on it!” I was tired of reading he was trying to be like Michael, Prince, etc. Shame on them for not capturing the realness in what he was presenting. He was honoring our icons. I’m a senior citizen, I understood, and I love me some Usher!!

Usher is so articulate, educated and intelligent. It's refreshing to see an artist of his caliber who can actually speak on things that involves black history and culture. The fact that he paid homage to those who came before him through his Super Bowl performance makes him all the more deserving of the title King of R&B. Very humble man, no ego or pride, which fits well for a King.

He was not too hands-on with Alcia Keys. Please stop pushing that narrative. If you look at Michael Jackson's Thriller, the walk he did with the young lady, flirting with her, is the same thing Usher did. And if you look at the rehearsal, she expected him to act just as he did. It's called performing for an audience. Being a performing artist, I learned soooo much through Usher’s work in this performance. And Usher I caught alllll that!!! Michael, when he threw his arms up while dancing with the Kappas was the Teddy P, James Brown, you gotta watch it again. And Yes Usher, They said I wouldn’t make, they said I wouldn’t be here today is my song!!! That is the gospel song “I’m Still Holding On” by Luther Barnes. Yes!!!

Usher is so humble and he has such a beautiful aura. I felt his beautiful spirit at his Vegas residency when he walked into Club Records. I love that he gave homage to the ones who paved the way for him and he also showed love to the present icons as well. I love his superbowl performance I was smiling the whole time! He is so right about how Jess and CTGabout how they have a huge influence on listeners and should always elevate their icons. Jess should have a positive segment and call it “Jess with the Bless” I’m proud of Jess she worked her to get where she is at. I hope usher continue to interact with the crowd and serenades at his concerts. I cannot wait to see him in Detroit!!

I caught all the homage you paid to your forefathers. I even peeped some African dance interpretation during Yeah. Usher goes deep in his performances but so many folks miss it because to some it’s more important to try and tear him down rather than to appreciate the excellence that’s on display. For those who wonder how or why Usher has so many fans and a more rewarded career than your fav, it’s because of that reason. Michael, Prince, James Brown, Marvin, Stevie, Teddy, Donnie, Sammy Davis, The rat Pack, Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra, I could go on for days.. where will the fans flock to and support since their fav artist is gone or no longer performing? Mic 🎤 drop! Stop comparing this man!

I'm guessing Love in this club is Marvin Gaye and Superstar might be any singer who can do falsetto (EWF/Isley/Vandross). Jackson is the white glove and how he danced around Keys, Brown might be the disrobing and footwork in Caught Up. My wild guess is Zapp was in the skating part.
