We have a little wood chipper...didn't cut very well. It may be that it needed grease! Great tip! Thanks, amigo!

You may need to sharpen the knives, too. They may be really easy to access or really difficult. It depends on the chipper. Your belt could also be slipping!

It definitely has its place. I'd like to have bigger PTO-driven chipper, too, but they're so expensive.

I always wanted a wood chipper . That will make awesome mulch , bedding or compost with that chipper .

Why not just let the next branch push the remaining in rather then putting your arm down the shoot?

The same size guide on the shredder inlet shroud has it in fine print for the chipper. At least that's what I've seen on another bear cat. I think that model 50 says up to 3".

do you just hook it to your pto and drag it to the work location?

I wouldn't be inserting my arm down that chute.

Agreed. I keep it well away from the throat.

I Heard That Those Things Can Also Be Extremely Dangerous, And Never Ever Try Shoving, Or Using Any Kind Of Gardening Instruments To Shove All Kinds Of Debris Into The Shute.
