I use the Foxsur charger to restore a dead car battery. This is one cheap battery charger that works! The Pulse repair function is particularly useful for reviving dead batteries or those that have been sitting unused for a long time. This tool can be used to show how to desulfate a battery especially for the DIY enthusiast who just needs a simple tool and does not have all the experience to go into more complicated battery restoration procedures. Look at it as DIY battery desulfation.
NB: If battery plates are damaged or the battery has leaked electrolyte this tool will not work.
You can get the FOXSUR Pulse Charger from either link below:
1. Amazon: amzn.to/39MA5XU
2. Aliexpress: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AEhjjQ
Disclaimer: I may earn a small commission from purchases made through the link above. This does not increase the price paid to purchase.

Job well done! People spend a ton of money on batteries not knowing about alternative ways to revive them. I just bought a Black and Decker battery charger, voltage checker, conditioner, and alternator checker all in one. It takes forever for the battery conditioner, but it's a smart thing to do as batteries do start to become sulfated overtime under lower voltages. Great vid, thanks for sharing!

Thank you, sir. I have this same charger they will recover most batteries. Lead acid & gellies I have used it on. As a ham, CB & UHF radio operator we always keep backup batteries & inverters in case of emergency. I have a few 3.3, 7 & 12 amp gel cells & some larger lead-acid ones up to 126 amps. These are for an emergency & a possible war is a whole lot closer with this Russin business now going on. These chargers work well at improving battery performance by dissolving the crud on the plates. I recently was given an 85 Ah battery. I topped up this 85Ah sealed leisure battery (I distill my own water) by drilling 6 holes topping it up & resealing it with hot glue so easy to remove & re-top up in the future. I had it on pulse repair overnight & it brought it back. My only test was on a 12-volt kettle that draws about 14 amps & It boiled a full kettle twice so far & close to an hour of 14 amp constant current draw & it's still well over 12 volts, but I will give it some more pulse charging. I have 2 126Ah truck batteries that I have been maintaining on pulse repair in case this Russian war business goes nova & the UK loses its power grid with conventional or EMP weapons. UK power grid is very fragile. God help us if that happened all nuclear facilities could not be maintained & would explode. If there is a god that is

One question: I have been using this charger, since January of this year, in a 3 y.o. Lead Batery of 700 AMP car battery, because it was waking up in 11.9 volt and didn't star the car. The fist time revived with the repair mode for 4 hours. Since then I was doing a repair charge of 4-6 hours once a month. The other mode doesn't activate: shows FUL even if the charge is low, so I can't only do the repair mode. But in the last two months the battery loses its charge overnight. I repair for 30 minutes and I can start the car, drive, and keeps good for about 6 hours. Any thoughts? How can I improve this? A repair charge of 24 hrs? The longest I have used that mode is 8 hours and still loses the charge overnight.

Also, when the Repair button is pressed, the charger will display PUL. PUL means that the charger is pulsing to repair the battery.

Thanks for the compliment. If it's a car battery, just charge normally. Note that it may take many hours to charge if the battery is low. I have just bought one of these and reached "FUL" same brand Bosh but "S4 021" due to leaving my car lights on for 3 days. Quick question why does it recommend leaving it on for 1-2 hours after FUL? Is there any specific reason? Will it enable my car battery to hold a better charge? I feel like my Bosh S4 doesn't hold a good charge even though it is brand new and I didn't charge it via this way when I first got it I just put it into the car after my old battery had a bad hold of charge.
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I'm not exactly sure the reason for the 1-2hrs after showing 'FUL', but I figure it's to do ensuring the capacity reaches 100%. If you feel, the Bosch is not holding a charge well, it may either have some level of sulfation or there may be a parasitic draw on the car battery. As a next step, will recommend you use the repair function to charge it for a minimum of 8hrs. This should address sulfation if present. You might find the new video I did on the Foxsur charger helpful. Also covers some information and tips on battery maintenance in general. Link below: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaCmiWl4fKqDkKM

@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks for the reply, just watched your new video and Liked :) ! There isn't a parasite drain as far as I am aware, though it is recently a brand new battery I am willing to give the pulse a shot as I am charging it indoors and cannot bothered to take it out again, currently I have completed the charge process and left it on FUL for approx 2 hours now is it safe to then put it on pulse? As it doesn't mention if it is after you have fully charged it. Once the 8 hours have elapsed do I need to then put it back into normal charge mode OR should I just put it back into the car as is fully charged?
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and liking!!! It's safe to use pulse right away, the pulsing hardly raises the temperature nor does it lead to overcharging. Besides the tool has overcharge protection. Pulse mode also charges the tool so no need to switch to charging mode in the end since you've already charged it. Even if you do, it will just provide float charge which wouldn't harm anything. Just keeps it 100%
@elit3physique
@elit3physique 3 жыл бұрын
@@DIYAutoworksNG ah right I understand that makes sense I was worried the pulse might do damage but come to think of it the normal charging is more likely to if you compared both modes. I was concerned the battery might explode or something just my fears as I don't know much about electricity lol! I ended up just putting it in the car without pulsing it and it worked in fact the start up was a fraction faster compared to before, I wonder if it will always be like this OR once it drops back to its baseline it will stay at that baseline if that makes sense so back to over a fraction longer to start. Just curious
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 3 жыл бұрын
Lol. Totally understand the uneasiness about electricity! I still put mine in plain sight while charging. Lol. If you do not drive stop-and-go traffic or leave it unused for prolonged periods of time (and the battery is still healthy), it should stay the same. If it does drop again, just use the pulse mode to ensure sulfation, if present, is dealt with.

The repair/pulse charging function definitely works. It is to be used when a battery has developed lead crystals on its plates and is not able to receive a charge (usually a battery that has sat with a low charge for a long time). Pulsing the charging breaks down these crystals. It is also the preferred charging method for smaller AH batteries. I have used just this to bring back a power generator battery which the service man said was no good. It is still serving me many months after!

@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 4 жыл бұрын
My main aim was just to charge the battery, as it was really new and didn't need the repair function. The car had a parasitic drain and kept draining it. I latter found the source of the parasitic drain. If I were dealing with an old battery that isn't holding a charge or a small capacity battery (4-15AH), the repair function will be first choice. That said, using repair mode even for a new battery will still charge it and cause no harm. It would rather desulphate the battery (if present). So I do like your suggestion.

@@DIYAutoworksNG no seemingly these smart chargers won't start charging a completely flat battery unless is has a little bit of power in it. How stupid.

@@martymartin2894 You can fool the charger by connecting a good battery to the flat one. Once charging begins, you can then disconnect the good battery.

@@fungames24 do u connect a charger to the flat battery at the same time as the good battery or do u just hook the 2 battery's up and leave them for a while.

All the best man. If you own a multimeter, see if you can check for parasitic draw. It's quite simple, tons of videos on KZbin.

Sorry to hear. So the product doesn't claim to repair any dead battery. If electrolytes are depleted, it won't work.

The 7 years is the reason why the charger didn't help. This one is past its life expectancy.

Wont work when battery is really low because charger doesn' t kick in below a certain voltage. Useless video!
@DIYAutoworksNG
@DIYAutoworksNG 3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call this useless at all. It has already paid for itself by saving me from replacing a power generator battery that the technician vowed was done for. The manufacturer does state that a minimum of 8volts is required for a 12v battery for this to kick in. Such deeply discharged batteries can still be charged with this tool assuming you have a second healthy battery of similar capacity. Connect positive to positive and neg to neg, then connect charger to the deeply discharged battery. It should then charge. (I don't recommend this though to anyone who doesn't understand battery charging dynamics)

@@DIYAutoworksNG But you have nevertheless given a good idea with cheating the charger with a second battery! I will try it and look if it works! You're a smart guy, I must admit! Thanks! And if it doesn't work (depends probably on the sulfatisation of the cells), I'm where I was!
