In this video, I share some beautiful strokes using a feather. There are going to be places you want a soft perhaps wispy mark and knowing how the feather will react with your paint is fun.
In the end, I share a couple things I made with the feather to keep in my studio. LINK to the hanging feather video: • The Making of Feather ...

Thank you Cheryl….I have just subscribed to your channel after seeing the marvel of feather marking. The feather speaks to my soul. You are an awesome artist, with a caring heart. You speak from your heart. You create from your heart. Warm greetings to you from Nova Scotia Canada 🙏💕🙏

Thanks for subbing! The feather is such a beautiful entity!!! I love your words... "the feather speaks to my soul" that warms my heart as I love the symbolism of the feather so much. Thank you so much for sharing and commenting. AND joining.

Beautiful as always. I made my own organic brushes with long, thin but hard stemmed African grass that I planted in my garden. We are just about to come out of Winter so I had so much dead grass I could pick. My marks came out beautiful. I am so inspired to keep creating as a result. Thank you for all your amazing teachings Cheryl 💐

Such an interesting idea! I would definitely use it. I have recently watched lots of your videos on creating abstract art. I like the way to show the entire process without skipping or hiding any steps, from beginning to finished art. Thank you for your gracious teaching. I pray your channel grows leaps and bounds.

I love feathers, too. I have a growing collection on my Ancestor altar. I have never considered using them in my artwork. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks again for the inspiring content. ❤❤

And each feather depends on how light of a stroke you make in the paint some feathers you have to press a little harder to get a mark but each one leaves such beautiful and unusual texture marks that makes so much fun to play with them

until saw this only thought of feathers as sensuous, as in first half of vid, as mae west said, the curve is more powerful than the sword. but in 2nd half of vid u amply show the range with all those staccato moves. cheryl, the queen of feather art!

Dear Cheryl thank you for another welcome post. I too love feathers and they are often thought of as angel calling cards and come in many Colours. Also from my angel book I thought I’d share the meaning of the different Color’s, as I have often referred to these when finding a feather. White Spirituality, purity, Yellow intelligence,friendship, Green money, fertility Blue psychic awareness, Grey peace, Red and Brown healing Gray and White hope, Green and Red finances, Orange attraction, success, Red courage, Pink love, Brown stability, grounding, health, Brown and White happiness, Black and White protection, Blue, White, Black change, Black and Purple spirituality……much love Maria ❤❤

it is so relaxing. I found the sturdier the feather, the more strokes you can make. Let me know how it works for you

❤ I asked this question on an older video. How do you price your smaller paintings? You have got me interested again in painting.
@CherylWilsonArt
@CherylWilsonArt Жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you’re interested in painting again that’s really wonderful I hope in my last comment I gave some clarity to how to price your art as I tried to relay smaller art is a little bit more difficult because the price calculation I normally use might render the price point too little so you do have to come up with some sort of consistency in your calculations, but also, remembering the cost of paint and paper and canvases and shipping so let me know if my last comment needed more clarification for you
