I have the WeCreat and when ever i try to engrave through tape the laser heats up the glue and kind of makes everything sticky. Also when i try to line or fill engrave with clear coat applied, the laser does not etch through the clear. Diode lasers don't work well with clear coated objects unless you cut.

@@Doityourselfwithjoe I’m using a 20 watt xTool. It worked great for cutting the masking and I didn’t have any sticking issues with the SECOND side. I really think that that the stickiness on the first side was a combination of two things: an interaction between the clear lacquer and/or my impatience in not letting the clear lacquer cure long enough. I just did another sign yesterday using the laser cut masking method and it turned out great.
