I tried to use mesh tape tonight in the bathroom. I had already used the level 5 24" spreader to fix my ceiling. I decided I better try to put up some tape in the corners. Yes, I should have already done it but I didn't want to try to. The guys at Lowes said maybe I had better tape the corners. So I taped over the bathtub. I put some mud down and I used mesh tape. The problem is that the knife snags on the mesh and it doesn't sit down in the corner. SO, I pulled it down and scraped the mud off. Now I have to try again. I'd like some tape that sticks. The mesh tape also wouldn't fold. So it's kind of obvious I guess that it was a no go from the start. GOD, I had mudding and taping and using the modern latex that dries in 2 minutes.

ALWAYS!! Run around with a 6" knife and check for "clickers". A screw that isn't set good does a number on the blades of your corner glazer. Even good hangers leave "clickers" from time to time especially in corners.

I’m sure those tool are expensive. As a homeowner I can’t see me justifying the expense. They definitely make quick work as you’ve shown. I’ll just stick with my 4” & mud & tape the old fashioned way.

I was watching the video when you were using the new product 'Tape In Mud". Can I use that to mud over mobile home wood paneling?

I would only use it for deeper, wider fills. And it has to go on about 1/8" thick or more to have the strength it needs, so I wouldn't use it anywhere you can get a crack to fill in between sheets, or where you can't put it on thick enough.

How do you prevent the tape from sliding? No Mathew thin my mud or how light I press with the bazzoka the tape always slides on the inside corners

You have to keep the bazooka at a 45° angle so that the sharp teeth on the roller will bite into the drywall paper which is what keeps it from sliding. And instead of light pressure you may need a little more pressure to get that to happen
