Do the back side first - then do the front . Put a piece of heavy plastic under the curved piece. ( won’t scratch rim ) Then break the bead- Do not take it out. Use your spoons to take the tire off . The bead buster will hold 1 side of tire down. Making it easy to remove rim

Did you use the impact anymore times with it? I have 2 of these bead breakers but I'm worried about using my impact driver. I was looking for a high torque drill to use. What drill are you using here? Thanks 🙂

They are down to 75.00 now. I always used a bumper jack. This is slick.

Much easier than a bumper jack!

@@SkylarHillShop I will see as ordered one last night. Funny I still have 1 bumber jack I will be building a Australian bead breaker later on.

Do back side first. Then move to front. Put a piece of heavy plastic under curved piece. That way it won’t scratch rim. Break bead. Do not remove buster. The buster will hold tire down on 1 side. Making it easy to remove rim with spoon ( slicker than a cats whisker.

So it specifically says do not use an impact driver with it? Was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Beadbuster 550, but it's rated and designed for an impact which I like alot. Thanks for the video! 👍

I don't recall, I'll have to check.

@Keith it doesn't say specifically to not use an impact it just recommended the air ratchet. I'm sure over time an impact could possibly damage the threads or if you're not paying attention when removing the tool you could easily back the threads all the way out and possibly damage the tool. That be said, the last time I used it I got impatient and did use an impact on it. It didn't seem to hurt the tool as far as I can tell.

Does it work on car and light truck tires ?
@SkylarHillShop5 жыл бұрын
It does however I wouldn't use it on anything that you don't want to scuff up. I've also used it on trailer tires and alloy wheels on an old Malibu. Non of which I cared too much about scuffing up the wheels on.

These bead breakers do not work. These guys must have broken the beads earlier and oiled the rim . 5 different mechanics have tried mine with the same results. I'm going to cut mine apart and use the foot for a slide hammer.

Which brand did you buy? I've used mine on 6 tires. It hasn't failed me yet.
