Beadbuster sending you that tool was the best advertising they could do. Looks like it worked great. I'll pick one up at some point. As much as the soft ground was a PITA, I bet you were happy to see the moisture as much as I was.

I won’t complain about some water, even if I did have to pick the tractor up off the ground.

Beautiful. I did use bead breaker and we had an air tool not too dissimilar in my former life 30 years ago, but mostly wooden wedges and a lump hammer ~ that tool and the modern impact drivers with the new batteries; game changer. In my local area I invented taking the tyre off the rim in-situ ~ many machines had weights but we had nothing designed for that job.

Blake 1st the new mic works great! 2nd the bead buster looks like tool every farm tire service shop and truck needs to have. I have done that job in the past. Now I pay someone to do it for big farm tires. The fronts I would probably still fight. You really need a barn/shed with a solid floor!

Yes sir the Bead buster is an awesome tool a Friend of mine has one he has been using for a few years now and it has held up great It is a quality tool and works as it should Blake one thing I'M surprised about is that you didn't buy new valve stems with the new tires I always buy and install new valve stems when i put new tires on my equipment. Thanks for sharing buddy looking forward to more videos. Have a great day. God Bless!!!

I always replace rubber valve stems, but typically I find the metal valve stems in most equipment is reusable.

Good demo of how that bead buster works; I will be getting me one for changing my 12.4x28 tire on my ‘55 Ferguson TO35 tractor. Been watching several videos on how to change large tractor tires as this will be my first go at it; looks like the bead buster will allow me to do this without taking wheel off :-)

I dont know if we had the bead buster one, but we changed a lot of ag tires with something similar and yes, the most stubborn bead will peel right off with one of these. I just did a couple ag tires that hadnt been touched in probably 30 plus years, fluid in tube leaked and rotted rim away. A bucket from a loader tractor and skid loader didnt do anything but fold the tire over while the beads hung on with everything it had. Stuck one of these in there and it ripped the bead to shreds, but it broke the beads loose. Tires were junk anyways as the beads were completly rotted. About 5 minutes worth of work.

That has to be one of the slickest little tools I've ever seen !!! Not sure what the life expectancy is of it, but I'm sure it more than makes up for it in time and energy savings (BTW, I remember my dad used the "run the neighbors tractor over the bead") Many thanks for posting the video mate.

There’s not much on this tool that can wear out, so it should have a pretty long life expectancy.

We have a 1-yr warranty on the XB-550, but very few warranty claims overall. Regardless of how old the tool is, we make every reasonable effort to provide outstanding customer service and product support. We value our customers, and do our best to take care of them. BeadBuster is a small business, the XB-550 is Made-in-USA, and we endeavor to always try to do right by our customers.

Haters are going to say you should have known it had a tube in it. Been there done that and I still can't tell when it's a nut secured stem if it's a tube stem or a tubeless stem. Bead buster is down right slick.Wish I was closer: I could really use your old 30" tires on a little JD 2030 I'm working on.

WOW, that really does work !!!! 😳, I was thinking of buying the claw type that attaches to the compressor line but seeing this has got me convinced of buying your type 🙂👍 any thing is better than taking the wheel off and then using the sliding bead braker, especially hearing ringing of your ears all day after finishing !!! 😖, time to get anther go pro Blake with extra batteries, at least you've survive from the tractor landing on you !!!! Stay safe bud,👍

Yes, in fact the XB-550 has a Long-side and Short-Side Ram foot, and therefore can also be used on Automotive and ATV wheels. This feature is part of our patent. If you only have ATV's, then you can get the smaller and cheaper model: XB-450

Get yourself some hard wood build-ups, from 12" wide down to 4" X 4" and some 4" X 1" shims. Even on prepared foundations, jacks are never dependable. In the Engineering construction field we always rested the work on blocks before working on it.

Is there an advantage or disadvantage to running tube vs tubeless? I have an old Ford 4000 and I’m about to replace drives. I realize the wheel has to have a good bead and not be rusted for one. And can’t have any cracks in the wheel or leaking welds. But any other reason I can’t run tubeless? This is my first tractor and will be my first set of rear tires to replace.

A little bit pricey - $249 on Amazon. The next size down for car tires is $109-139. Not sure if you were only going to do a large tractor tire on rare occasion if the car tire size would work. If you were handy with a welder you could probably make one in an afternoon. Great concept though....

The BeadBuster is really competeing with Tools like the PnuTek manual bead breaker, which costs ~$750, and even hydraulic bead breakers which are >$1,000. If you are handy enough to fabricate your own tool, I give you a ton of credit. BUT, you can be assured that the BeadBuster has already worked out all of the kinks. But we love weeing people's home-made bead breakers...it just confirms how needed our product is!

In a previous video I'm sure Blake thought this had been a municipal tractor in It's early life, that may be why the wheels are smaller. Tractordata.com says the standard size is 34 inches.

We learned over time, as kids that we should keep one 3 foot 2 x 6 in the pickup just for jacking purposes. It usually was enough, except for the combines. We always used tubes. Why did you go tubeless?

Guy in WY we had 2 farms, 2.5 miles apart. We got tired of flats real fast and tired of down time. Not much time to farm in Northern Alberta. So everything had a tube. I think my dad had some kind of liquid in the tires early on.
@GuyinWY
@GuyinWY 6 жыл бұрын
Tubes were often used for liquid in the past because the calcium chloride commonly used for weight is extremely corrosive.
@wattsmilly01
@wattsmilly01 6 жыл бұрын
tubeless tyres go down slower than tube type when they get a puncture due to the fact that the cause of the puncture helps to seal the hole but when a tube is fitted it can not seal the hole in the tube
