Very nice! I love techniques like these. All of this people who say they can’t paint, really could if they tried!

Its remarkable how many ways you have taught us to stamp: the plastic bag, sponge, the side of the knife or card, and now the scourer. Each tool lends its own individual character to the paintings. I wouldn't have thought that a scourer would look much different from some of the other tools we have used, but it does look quite unique. Loved the stippling too - turned the plants from flowers into proper lilacs! I felt like I could smell them! Thank you!

Thank you Tamsin... I love a bit of stamping! The scourer works so well with acrylics and as you say the marks are unique! I felt the stippling really did bring the lilacs to life! 😊

I didn’t think I was interested in painting flowers. I love lilacs and this changed my perspective. I really like the layering, color combinations, creativity and looseness. I subscribed, I want to watch more.

A very interesting and highly informative tutorial. The scourer is a good tool. I “stamped” out clouds with the sponge part. I liked the effect very much. So now I will try the abrasive part also. Great tutorial Karen. Thank you

Brilliant tutorial thank you. I wondered if you mixed your paints with anything to thin them? The white in particular looked a bit thinner than the rest. many thanks..

Thanks Sharon ... I sometimes thin my paints with water, but very little 😊
