I did the same thing with my old trainer kite. It actually worked well for over an hour, until it hit the water then it became a sea anchor. It fills up Scarry fast so be safe if anyone tries an old trainer that is not designed for water! Also a 2 line trainer doesn't de power at all so that is where the para wings will help a ton, even if it's just a little. Sorry you were frustrated but it feels good to not be alone in the attempt. Thanks for watching. We been actually trying to shorten lines and maybe cut out the inner skin. Watch what happens next summer at least 3 brands or more then eventually all the brands then… dirt cheap to buy.

you should gut the close cells. and make it one skin as much as possible. Hack job but it works and won't sea anchor as much. longer lines like 2m extension would help too.

Currious why you tried to walk with it out.. like kiteboarding I would have bundled it up walked out with the board and launched it into the air from the water not trying to lug it out with me while it was flying.
