Using Acrylic Paint as WATERCOLOR / Building up Layers - Abstract Acrylic Painting

- In this painting I'm using Acrylic Paint as WATERCOLOR and building up Layers. I'm using soft & hard body acrylics and mixing them with lots of water. On this raw canvas it dries and adheres as watercolor.
I named this artwork: "One Small Step". This title has a special meaning for me and my art journey. Each of my works within this series are made out of multiple layers, one small step at a time. And as I reflect on my entire art journey, I realize that it too has been built out of countless small steps.
In this specific painting, the last layer (the last small step ;-)) of textured gold lines completely transformed it from feeling average to being absolutely stunning. It even inspired me to add more layers to my artwork from last week, which I thought was complete. But it is now, haha!

Love it, I was thinking again, please stop, the layers are so fluid and overlap perfectly, the transparency works perfectly, so stop. That was a real risk adding the gold. I was wanting to say don’t do it, but it worked. The overlaying of transparent color is just fabulous. I know I have to try it.
