Thank you for this tutorial. I've been working in polymer clay for 16 years. I'll get hung up on one or two styles/techniques. I used AI year ago and I liked the outcome. However I could not remember the steps. This will help immensely! Again, thank you!

Can you use alcohol instead of the blending solution? Great video
@TheLittleCraftHouse2 жыл бұрын
You can. Blending solution has a ‘softer’ effect on the colours than alcohol.

Yes it will have a diffrent effect but I always us alcohol and not blending solution.

Very Nice look! What was the gold medium you added to the alcohol ink? Was that paint or mica?
@TheLittleCraftHouse3 жыл бұрын
Hi! It was Pinata Rich Gold Alcohol ink.

Best to follow up with this in a few mo. to see if there's a chemical reaction like there is when resin is used.

I’ve been using the alcohol ink on polymer clay for a few years now and haven’t had any chemical reactions :)

@@TheLittleCraftHouse so a question I've been wondering about as I also work with resins...wondering if coating it with S Gloss FIRST and then resining adds any extra insurance long term?

Hi I love this technique but back of the earings are stained slightly would you advise how to clean it or keep it clean, its like ink and alcohol go through
@TheLittleCraftHouse2 жыл бұрын
Hi. It was scrap clay that I used as the base- so it was actually the colour of the clay. If you did need to tidy it up- just use isopropyl alcohol and that would remove it.

When baking does it stink? And is there a brand you recommend? The one I used literally gave it no color. I absolutely hated it .
@TheLittleCraftHouse3 жыл бұрын
Hi! No, I haven’t noticed a smell at all. I mainly use the Couture Creations Alcohol ink, and sometimes Pinata. I find the Pinata colour a bit too strong for small clay slabs though.
@joc65552 жыл бұрын
Have you tried this technique with other colours of clay? We all know how difficult it is to find white clay sometimes
@TheLittleCraftHouse2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I like to use lighter colours though - just so it doesn't effect the look of the inks. The piece I used in the tutorial was scrap clay that had a slight blue tint to it to start with.

It’s not the ink you need to worry about. Too much blending solution will cause your clay to be very brittle after baking. It has alcohol in it. Dries out the clay.

On the bottle it literally says DO NOT SHAKE... just saying
@ladyyi3 жыл бұрын
Nobody asked
@BRI.With.Da.FACTS33 жыл бұрын
@@ladyyi considering it’s a tutorial it’s probably best if you demonstrate everything correctly. The tutorial was great. But it says do not shake for a reason.
@BRI.With.Da.FACTS33 жыл бұрын
@@ladyyi also you could keep scrolling. This comment was for the person demonstrating and for anyone who might be interested in actually following the directions this specific product has. I use this stuff all the time. You aren’t supposed to shake it. It’s not just put on the bottle for no reason. There is nothing wrong with informing People with correction information.

I'd love to stick around and listen to what you are trying to teach me but unfortunately can't understand a word you said. I have to find someone who doesn't chew words.
