That's pretty cool idea!! I wouldn't have thought of that. Anything to make the personal space more comfortable!!

@@IndependenceOverland how’s it been holding up? Still running

I would like to see a power comparison between Zero Breeze and a regular ceramic heater, which is cheaper, smaller, quieter, works below 30 degrees and requires no venting.

The Mk3 has a built in heat function, maybe I will do that next year. I actually rigged up a little 500w heater with a thermostat and my Ecoflow River 2 Pro. I got about 3 hours of heat and that’s when it was only like 45 degrees for a low, and I was trying to keep it at around 60 for the test. So for real winter stuff, it isn’t the best option.

Is it still working well for you?
@IndependenceOverland2 жыл бұрын
Took it with us to Mexico but never needed to use it. But I am planning trips to Utah later into summer than I ever have before, just because I know I can sleep in the heat. These things are very effective for a tent.

How’s it holding up. Still runs without issues ect?

The AC runs great. I’be got a few different trips planned in hot climates this year because I know I’ll sleep like a baby with it.

I have to ask brother what does your FJ weigh loaded I had mine weighed without the RTT was a plump 5570 😳 haha and again great video
@IndependenceOverland3 жыл бұрын
Oh, she heavy! A large part of why I upgraded the rear axle. Not sure on the actual weight as it’s sitting right now, but it’s a lot!

Nice, good way to get by in a pinch

Yeah, not the answer to real winter camping, but for the vast majority of people who dont camp once November rolls around I think it would do well enough to justify buying something like this over a diesel heater. I had a nice diesel heater system, and I used it 2-3 nights a year and it cost nearly as much as a Zero Breeze.

I wonder how well it would perform in an insulated van
@IndependenceOverland2 жыл бұрын
It’s a bigger space, so probably a little less performance I would imagine.

have you considered putting the unit outside the tent, and piping heating input/output hoses inside the tent? that way no cold air is drawn into the tent, that way more efficient? if you put the unit inside the tent, there will be leakage of cold air from outside mixing in with warmer conditioned air inside.
@IndependenceOverland2 жыл бұрын
I did consider that, in the desert though I didn’t want it pumping dirt in all night. But you correct, I could have done it in a more efficient way. Also, my Fj is limited on places I could mount it outside of the tent.

Cannot be used below freezing...where is that face palm gif?
@IndependenceOverland3 жыл бұрын
I assumed as much, but figured I’d better include that so if someone were to buy one of these things based off of my recommendation, they wouldn’t be expecting too much out of it.
