You think Apple intentionally limited pass through to deter people from misusing the device? Or they could’ve tried to keep something in the bag for next gen Vision Pro. Don’t see any real reason why pass through shouldn’t be better than it is with current software/ hardware.

Agreed. I have FPV drones with DJI cameras and the view through my DJI googles sound like they are better than the Vision Pro.

I think part of it has to do with the cameras trying to expose for the lighting conditions, it was very bright outside Seems to work best in a overcast like situation

Images are not simply see through but stitched together and in order to process everything as smooth as it can while maintaining the quality, or to find that middle ground, I believe that was the limitation. I agree it is absolutely one of important factors in any vr devices out there including AVP.

Good evening from Spain Trenton and community. Apple Vision seems like science fiction come true to me, I loved the example of the park, it's really impressive. The future is already here, of course it is not perfect but the progress and evolution it will have is exponential.

I don’t get it these are not glasses! It’s a headset with cameras! It’s not designed for that! It’s a virtual headset! If you want to experience real world take them off!!

Yeah, because there are other creators making videos advertising its use in public, this is meant to bring up the possible drawbacks of that

I am from Chicago and I would not trust anything covering my face walking down the street with it trying to watch a movie or use some apps it is not that serious to even try to process that at this stage maybe some glasses but definitely not this

I am a fan but I do not understand the point of using this and I have a Quest 3 and I do not understand the point of even trying to use it outside to walk down the street

The apple vision pro was never meant for outside consumption. It was meant for close confined spaces like your house or an office space..... So the cameras and the sensors are adjusted for those kinds of measurements , not outside where it's an infinity of space.

Yeah this video was to address all of the wearing AVP in public videos, here im showing why that isnt the greatest idea

And you do know that if any direct sun light gets into you cameras that's your whole headset gone right 😂😂 I remember these type of videos when the Quest 3 came out I understand using it at home whilst washing up the dishes and cleaning up as I usually do that with my Quest 3

All VR Headsets can have a big screen even my original psvr has a big screen not to mention my other headsets most people who use this headset must have not ever used a headset before and if they tried other things before they try this headset ad they could get a better understanding in their videos and as someone has been using headsets since 2016 it's annoying

Yes, it can be done on other headsets, however I'm showing what my experience is like with the Vision Pro can be. Just like every other phone can make calls and record video, if I'm talking about a specific phone, I still comment on its feature. What's the point of covering anything if something else can do it?

Why do people keep falling back on these “Apple wasn’t first” arguments? Go enjoy a PalmPilot or BlackBerry then if “first” is what matters. Execution and quality also matter. I’ve been using VR since Oculus Rift DK1 in 2014, including trying their cinema modes. My new AVP tops all the headsets I’ve used in nearly every way except for price, weight, and game selection. On previous headsets the image and audio quality were lacking, the environments were cheesy looking, and the “casting color into the room” effect was overplayed. On AVP - which BTW has a MicroOLED with *2.5x* the resolution of the Quest 3 - the visual fidelity and Spatial Audio legitimately matches a theater (maybe except for bass when not using AirPods), the environments are photo realistic and tasteful, the lighting effect is subtle but beautiful, and there is a great selection of media content 2D and 3D. All my iTunes purchases of the past 15 years have free 3D upgrades. But even watching 2D content feels new again.

Question: Is device meant to be used outside, while walking around etc? Did Apple do any demos of the device with people wearing it outside during day to day use?

I have not seen any demos of Apple doing it, but there are other creators who are doing it and I just wanted to show the realistic drawbacks to doing those things.

As long as watching movies by the vision pro is better than the movie cinema, I will plan to buy one, but so far I couldn't get the clear answer.

The only way Im going back to the theater is if I want to take my family, otherwise Im perfectly fine watching movies at home or even in my backyard with the Vision Pro

For one person, I think AVP is the best movie watching experience available if you can find a comfortable fit. It’s like having your own cinema or drive through, but better in many ways since you can adjust your position, it features peaceful natural environments, and 3D isn’t dimmed with glasses.
