Really nice work my friend. Great job showing work flow and your solid reasoning for it as well.

@@MattcoMetalWorks I'm always in to learn something new for sure. An open mind is my secret weapon. Lol I build about 1500' +/- of ADA handrail a year on average, so I'm always curious to see how other folks do things.
@MattcoMetalWorks4 жыл бұрын
olsparky wisenheimer wow that’s crazy. I need to come learn from you then. I honestly don’t know how much linear footage we do but it keeps us busy for sure.
@olsparkywisenheimer82394 жыл бұрын
@@MattcoMetalWorks I'm just guessing on the footage honestly. I never set out to do that much, I just got hooked up with a few GC's that do nothing but schools. So a bit of luck was involved. Plus PW jobs are such a pain with paperwork here in Ca most little shops don't want to mess with it. I have a structural steel contractors license, but I found my niche doing the jobs too small for the big shops to worry about. But those are nice jobs for a little shop like mine.

pipe vs tubing size description is a bit off- tube size actually measures the number. 2" tube is 2" od. Pipe sizes are not inside diameter- its still the od, but it doesn't measure the number given as size. The inside diameter of pipe changes as the schedules get thicker. But, you can thread a piece of sch. 10 pipe and screw it into the same fitting as a piece of sch. 120.

Awesome video! Are you using a true radius or elliptical die to bend the pipe?
@MattcoMetalWorks Жыл бұрын
Not 100% what exactly that means but would assume true radius

How do I find a formula for the measurements 90 45 32?

Whats the cost for those handrail per foot? I have to built some but i dont have idea how much to charge. Thanks
@MattcoMetalWorks5 жыл бұрын
That is a loaded question, the price per ft will change depending on what type of rail, materials used, mounting conditions, paint or powder coat. You could be anywhere from $50-$125 per foot

How do I find my point to mark when bending?

@@MattcoMetalWorks please do. I started fabrication I can do obvious things such as miters and copes but haven't yet figured out bending.

Would you mind telling me the model of the Baleigh bender?

The model in this video is the Baileigh 125, We sold that last year and upgraded to the Baileigh 250 with index table.

Great work! What kind of resin do you use to hold in place post after core drill?
@MattcoMetalWorks5 жыл бұрын
we use non shrink pour rock, purchased at fastenal most of the time

In the dirt??? That must be a Southern thing.
@MattcoMetalWorks3 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean? We don’t core drill dirt. We install some rails in dirt by using post hole diggers and setting them in concrete. That’s what I mean by that
@jaystachowiak35403 жыл бұрын
Well... not sure why(at the end of the video) the rail on the right is on the stair as it should be, and the rail on the left is in the dirt? I hope some old lady doesn't hig that rail on the left and snap her ankle because she steps off the side of the stair! Why not move the rail onto the stair where it should be? Is there a minimum stair width in your state? They look plenty wide.
