I'm brand new to ProPresenter, and your presentation made things so intuitive and easy to get up and running in no time. You are the epitome of teachers of this app I've seen so far. Keep up the excellent work. It's greatly appreciated.

Steven, I am so glad you are back making video tutorials. I have missed your ability to make clear and concise videos on the ever changing world of live streaming. I would like to request a new video on the use of the Yolo Box Pro. Thanks for your consideration. Again I am glad you are back.

Thank you sir! These are all the things I needed to get started streaming directly from ProPresenter 7. Our current setup sends PP7 content into OBS where we join an external camera feed and then stream out to Facebook. I believe doing everything in one application will help make things alot simpler and much more efficient.

Doesn't look like that camera is able to output NDI, which is a requirement to connect to ProPresenter using this method.

How does one go about using this with an atem (looking to have a live feed in our foyer)
@BallastMedia23 күн бұрын
What atem model do you have? Most recent models you can connect the USB of the atem to the computer and it will show up as a camera. (no need to go through the network, etc, it will just show up in ProP as a video input on the computer.) That being said, I think you have a bigger question here about distributing your video locally. Check out my video on video distribution: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKexdaKubd2cbdk

nice video, I like your teaching style. So, I'm new at live streaming. presently we are bringing 2 cameras into our m1 Imac with ProPresenter 7 and using Ecamm software for our cameras and to livestream. If I understand this video, we can let PP7 do all the work and get rid of Ecamm. Any thoughts . Thanks, Michael

Yes, assuming your computer is up to the task of doing both.

Question: How would I handle PowerPoint slides (with backgrounds) on the stream side? Since you deactivated "Media" from the Live look, that means stream guests would only see the video inputs (an of course the text Lyrics).. How would I go about nesting media in the corner of the Live screen so I can display a small preview of the slide? I presume this would be another Look, containing a smaller version of slides that's not full screen. Or do you have a better recommendation to achieve this goal? Thank you!
@BallastMedia Жыл бұрын
Usually, I would bring both the overlay output and the full screen output (what is actually going to the in house screens) to two inputs of the switcher. So I can overlay with one, and take full screen graphics with the other.
@otm777 Жыл бұрын
@@BallastMedia Thank you for the quick reply. Just to be certain I understand...what you mentioned above involves using a physical switcher (i.e. ATEM Mini Pro), correct? Or is this done (or possible to do) directly within ProPresenter? It's a smaller church, and 'm really trying to get us away from OBS and just using PP7, while also keeping cost low. I do anticipate adding a Stream Deck so not sure if there's a way to incorporate that and achieve what you suggested.

A lot depends on what your needs are for that PC. Lately I've been using the HP zWorkstations. What CPU/Memory/GPU kind of depends on what you are going to do with it.

Instead of PTZ camera can you livestream same way to use your own iPhone iPad cameras?

It's possible. You can get an NDI app for your phone to send the camera image out over NDI to ProP. (or OBS or vMix for that matter.)

@@timothydavidhill2117 You don't have to use an ATEM. But you still need a way to get video in to ProP. You can use NDI as I demonstrate in this video, or you can use a video interface and bring video in that way. (eg. Use the ATEM as your video interface.)

If I were putting together a computer for ProPresenter, I'd purchase a barebones with the fastest processor I can afford HP Z2 or Z4 and then max out the RAM (32GB for economy, 64GB for performance) and add an NVIDIA Quadro graphics card to it, depending on budget P1000 or P2000 for economy, RTX4000 for performance.

Hi Stephen …. Thanks for a really helpful video. I have 2 questions for you. First, what is the best way to get audio into ProPresenter from the soundboard? Second, we had to stop using a combination of wired cameras and wireless cameras (really iphones via NDI) because of the difference in the sync between the audio and video. Can you set a different delay on each camera in ProPresenter? Thanks again for all of you helpful videos.
@BallastMedia2 жыл бұрын
If you don't have a way to send audio through Dante from the soundboard, and you need to send it analog, then just a 2-channel audio interface into the computer would work. I like the Focusrite 2i2 to for that amzn.to/3jJ2oux Unfortunately there isn't a way to delay video in ProP.
@lawrencefloyd54112 жыл бұрын
Another great video Stephen. Since this is all done via network, is there latency between what in person worshipers see and what is shown on the in house screen. We are planning on using a Blackmagie ATEM mini extreme ISO but are still exploring other options before laying down hard cash.
@BallastMedia2 жыл бұрын
if you are showing the camera feed in house, then yes, never run through a computer, there will always be latency. Go with a hardware video switcher, and preferably one that will do genlock, and cameras with genlock as well.

It looks the Same as AVKANS 4K PTZ Camera I ordered, working great.
@paulstubbs7678 Жыл бұрын
We use Microsoft PowerPoint for our slides, OBS for streaming to KZbin, and a pair of no-name Chinese PTZ camera's. We have a second copy of OBS on the slides computer (PowerPoint does not share a PC well, it loves being on focus all the time), streaming that to a second dedicated livestream computer that handles the camera's and audio etc. The slides get overlaid, picture in picture style, in the top right-hand corner, where the actual projector screen is in the church, so the layout kind of replicates how it looks in the church. One of the biggest pains is the PTZ camera's introduce a near one second delay, meaning I have to match that with an audio delay, and also one for the slides. in one odd way it's handy as I can swap cameras and capture the start of anything the priest etc. is saying, as whist they have started, I have a near one seconds grace, but really I'd like to be rid of that delay. I have another IP-cam, a Basler, and it has the same delay, so two cams and many pieces of software, and the pic is always delayed. I've Googled it, tried that other camera, different software (even VLC player), different computers, always 980ms. AAARRRGGGHHHHH.
@BallastMedia Жыл бұрын
Most cheaper cameras sending video over IP are going to be using RTMP, and it's just going to inherently have delay in the transmission of the video over the network. You could upgrade cameras to NDI (if you must stay IP based) and it has much less latency, can be near the same as a USB video interface). Or you can change to using video cables and a video switcher like the ATEM and then capture the video from it in to the computer, which will result in much less latency.

How do you find out the IP address for the camera?
@BallastMedia8 ай бұрын
Usually you set this to something. There is a camera utility available from your camera manufacturer that will find your camera on the network and let you set it's IP address.
