I hulled 4 Oz of cardamom pods and ground the seeds up to get under an ounce of powder!! I have a whole new appreciation for spices and how they are used now and why they could be considered sacred in the past bcuz it is LABORIOUS work!!!! 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣

Just accidentally poured cardamom into my porridge , I thought it was the cinnamon, I am NOT sorry about it! It was delicious, and from now on I'll take my porridge with some cinnamon, sugar and cardamom.

Hi there! 04/06/2018 8:30 AM "I" started puting a 1/4 tsp.of Cardamom in my pot of coffee grounds before brewing since 1991 so so good I'm still alive an kicking and live to tell about it very tasty just sweeten and cream to taste and add more Cardamom to 'YOUR"own taste

Add 1/8th tsp in rich fruit cake (or what we call plum cake in Kerala, South India). It makes your home aromatic along with Cinnamon (1/4 tsp) and 1/8th tsp All Spice (may also add 1/8th tsp cloves and 1/8 tsp ginger). Also milk tea (cow's milk, none of those unholy nut milk) and cardamom is a match made in Heaven! Manischewitz wine is the best to soak fruits - when you open that jar after 2-3 months (minimum), that sinfully lovely scent can melt even the stoniest of hearts!

Just used cardamom today for the very first time in “sour dough” cinnamon rolls. They were delicious with a bit of a floral note. Next, I will add it to a plain cookie recipe to fully enjoy the unique flavor. Glad to find you here. All the seeds were not dark. Thinking perhaps they we not ripe???

I have been using cardamom in my simple syrup for a few years. I just recently added toasted pepper corns to the mix. My girlfriend is begging for it now. I'm talking about the toasted cardamom and pepper corn syrup.

I’ve bitten into some cardamom pods in Indian rice before and boy was that a strong flavor! Not a fan of that on it’s own, but Indian dishes sure are yummy. Gotta give it a try at home

Never used or heard of cardamom myself but have eaten many different curries before will have to look into that. You talked about curry in this video what would be some good curry spices that have some kick to them but are not too spicy for people that don't like too spicy?

Cardamom tastes like eating soap it's the most horrible taste to linger in currys and I get the taste from the green cardamom the worst in the world 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Michael Bamber on the fence with it also...trying to like it after messing up twice in adding it to curry, (once used too much and too late in the cooking process) which i try keep very simple. Usually add 4-5 cinnamon sticks and star anise pods along with a couple bay leaves to a stew pot sized amount and always comes out very good!! But the black cardamom which most recipes usually call for 1 crushed pod is to be added first; during sauté of garlic, onions, ginger, fresh chili peppers along with a couple dried ones (marrying of the flavors). I wanna try it again but don’t wanna mess up the whole pot lol...it’s a pretty strong spice. Love the green cardamom in chai or in the after meal mix chewed after a meal though👌
