Just finished watching your first five videos as I was told this is required before printing my first model on my own. Wow, I printed a Mad Cat Mech and it turned out flawless thanks to your help. My very first print was the test rook you get on the USB stick - my second print was this mech and all I have to say is holy cow, thanks for your help - now I need to watch your videos on hollowing out, and interior supports / drain holes.

I attempted my first model print the other day before finding these videos. My son's Mando turned into a puddle of beskar on my FEP 😫 After watching, my second attempt came out with one minor flaw because I didn't listen and thought "this should be fine". Thank you VERY much for the awesome videos and so much useful info! My prints would be a literal mess otherwise

I did that exact "inspect a failed model" on a black templar with insane detail and lots of little things on it. Right now I'm trying to do supports for it, but because there is so much detail, it's a bit overwhelming.

Anyway, thanks for the tutorials, I’ve spent hours google searching and YouTubing surfing to find a series just like what you put together. After several failed prints with few successes in-between I am really trying to dig in and get a solid understanding of this support science.

90% of all the Prints I'll be doing are 1:24 scale Auto Models Parts, so I'm thinking that the level & amount of supports you have added & the level of detail of the figures you mostly print will not needed or necessary- Or what do You think?? What about inverting the model vertically? It puts supports onto the top shell, so more visible, *BUT* the rest of the model seems to flow better inverted

Hi! Question for you: Do you run your slices through UV Tools or something similar? At one point would you consider a model passable? I end up having some slices with a few sub 100 pixel islands and the prints end up just fine, but im worried if i need to more aggressively work those down.

Love watching this videos or listening while I try my hand at supports! Couple newbie questions you may have answered in other videos. Any tips and tricks for minis where the figure is bending forward 90 degrees and in your video with the goblin mini, any tips on when you decide to merge your supports into the one big support? I don't have a printer yet but my co-worker prints files I drop in his inbox so I try to make it easy on him.

If you have a support fail (used light when should have been heavy) do you have to resupport the whole miniature or can you modify the existing photon file? I haven't had any luck calling in a .photon file and adding/changing supports.

Tough one to answer because the size of each mini matters...normal D&D size player character minis I would think easily 50 per 500 ml of resin, maybe even more

One doubt about "hidden" island and it's location. I use to run Photon File Validator after placing the supports and slicing the model. It's repair function tells in which layer the island is but sometimes is hard to go to the (for example) layer 546 to locate it using the Chitubox slider. It's exist any trick or function to place the slider in that particular layer? Once again, great videos, you're the boss!!

It looks like you do something similar to my last comment. Yours seems to be for precise positioning and I'm doing the same support stacking/deleting to get rid of the model to model ones like you get on chins and hair/horns/helmets etc.

Watching your stuff has made me realize that I would really like doing this and will have to get into this. Also on the claw could you put several lights on the claw itself and then put a medium or heavy or two where the claw meets the carapace? Would this support the arm and still keep the point and edge of the claw from being damaged as much?

@@3dprintingpro212 Of course, once I saw you orbiting, I also assumed there must be a way to do it. It turns out using the two-fingered pad move rotates on my MacBook Pro. Not the easiest of maneuvers but it gets the job done. I was hating that I could never see the other side of the object when deciding if the supports were right. Now I can.
