The Ender 3v3 specifically says the OS is based on Klipper so it seems logical that the KE (Klipper Edition?) also is.

I generally like Creality Print the only down side is that I can't Pause At Height to swap filaments. I need that for HueForge prints.
@brokeneggz7 ай бұрын
Something I just tried last night for this out of Creality Print was use the slicer to go through your layers and find which layer you want to change filament at and note down the number. Save your gcode directly to your PC and open that file in notepad and search for that, for example search LAYER:26. Directly under that line in notepad create a new line that just says PAUSE. Printer will then pause and wait for resume to be pressed when you reach that layer. Not a perfect solution I know but its a work around.

@Zachary3DPrints8 ай бұрын
Yes, the Creality KE is based on Klipper, but Klipper isn't in the Gcode flavor. I did look for it when I did this video, but it wasn't there. If you check the Voron Designs in the ADD PRINTER, you'll see that the Voron 0(for example) is running Reprap Gcode Flavor instead of Marlin.

On Creality website, instructions for adding this printer say to use Marlin?
@Zachary3DPrints3 ай бұрын
I don't know what you trying to ask? This is what I think: The Creality Ender-3 V3 KE has a firmware that is called Klipper. The early Creality printers were runner on the firmware called Marlin, like many other brands used to do. Nowadays more brands are using Klipper versions on their new 3D printers to have faster print speeds. If you are talking about adding a printer to a software, it's more about the Slicer, where you slice the model, so the printer knows how it should be printed in machine language.
@jeffthomas37073 ай бұрын
@@Zachary3DPrints Maybe just slight confusion. In your video, when you take the profile for the Ender 3 Pro, you say that one of the things we need to do is change Marlin to RepRap. I looked at adding this printer on the Creality website and they say to use Marlin (this was published on 30 June 2024), which is contradictory to what you suggest. I have been running my KE perfectly well using Marlin so I'm unsure what benefit would come from using RepRap.
@Zachary3DPrints2 ай бұрын
Hey Jeff, thank you for this question! I totally get it! My video was made in early this year, 16 Feb 2024. At that time the printer was new and not everyone was using it that much. Now with their latest Creality Print 5.1, the Creality OS isn't there anymore and it's now called Klipper. In preparation of this video, I tested every Gcode flavour and see what gave me the best results. In the video I said which one worked the best. If you get amazing results with Marlin Gcode flavour, that perfect! This video was made to give people a other slicer to get them started and trying to get them going in a direction. I'll be making more of these videos, since Slicers are getting updated almost monthly...

I have exactly the same problem. It must have something to do with the start code . Have you found a solution yet? I have noticed that the error occurs because the nozzle cools down too much after the second homing.
