Use the drones off of the Fiddlerman.com website to work on intonation. This video will give you some tips about how to use them and listen for correct intonation. My teacher a long time ago taught me to put a heavy object on the note on the keyboard when its set to organ. i guess its the same thing as a drone. It helps so much for intonation! I encourage everyone to do it. It even helped me develop my ear and I notice my singing is even better in tune when i do it!

Is it possible to use these drones on a minor key? i know it helps a lot in my intonation. but haven't tried it on a minor key.

Well, ok we are using A drone. It gives us perfect A note. I can compensate from it while finding A note on violin. But whats the point of playing B, C, D notes etc, while using A drone. I am confused

It sounds like the beginning of a classical Indian raga when you're noodling a few first notes of the scale over the drone

@@1stfiddlerman nothing to be sorry, it's not the notes in particular, it's just the drone reminds me of a harmonium which is what I think they use sometimes... Or a sarangi (another stringed instrument).
