Imagine how much better that is protected now than it originally was or they come from the factory now, when your finished that thing will be around long after us even in your weather conditions. 👍

Wait a couple of weeks for an update video on the paint. Some issues arise and it's not pretty..!

👍🏻Looking good! I did find using a better brush then the cheap chip brushes works better, I just finished my frame.
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
I'd use a higher quality brush on nice stuff, but for this the $0.89 jobbers work.

Thoughts on doing the Eastwood rust converter and then using inch their chassis black as a top coat? Not to sure what the difference between encapsulator and converter is
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
Converter turns rust into a black substance. It must be top coated by some kind of paint. Encapsulator "seals in" the rust and doesn't need to be top coated. As far as I'm concerned Eastwood stuff is okay for car restos that are only driven in good weather and corrosion exposure is minimal. I don't think it holds up any better in winter salt conditions than any other paint over rust paint or converter.

I've got my rust removed to bare metal on my truck but there are areas of black pitted metal. Would the rust encapsulator work on that-- and do you put filler over it, or just primer? Thanks for your videos. Unlike me, you know what you're doing, lol.

What do you want to do with the truck? Is it a classic you're restoring? If so you'll probably be okay to paint over the rust pits. If it's a truck that is going to see salt and winter, I suggest this, paint, and a rust prevention like Fluid Film.

How did you take the plastic cap off of the can? I have the same cans that I want to use on my 76 Chevy truck frame.

I cut them off with side cutters
