Using FL Studio with the Novation Launchpad pt. 2

UPDATE: As of FL 10.5, Image-Line has completely changed the way FL Studio interacts with MIDI and has introduced Performance Mode, which allows users to use a Launchpad with FL Studio similarly to how they are used with Live. However, this video will stay up until I see it being grossly out of the times. Original description below:

10.5 was in beta version and they let the public try it out until July 1, now 10.6 beta is out and open for testing until October 1

im trying to figure out how to get the pattern buttons in to map to launchpad and be able to watch the sequencer passing thru all the blocks this is an idea i havent started yet thanks for the info

I'm using bootcamp in this video. Parallels is rad but it can create some really weird issues with external hardware and with latency. And I'm not sure, I have no experience with the APC20 although I can imagine its various knobs and faders could come in handy.

Are you using parallels or bootcamp for fl on mac? Also what do you think is better for performance mode: APC 20 or Launchpad? I mean if you have to tweak existing patterns on the go. Anyway. Cool vid. :D

I have FL 9 and I want to transition from one sliced up wav file to another, but I can only stay in one sliced file. I can't switch from one slicex instrument to the next. What can I do to change this? Can I program some of the buttons to trigger choosing different instruments to play in?

Is a launchpad really useful with fl studio and not just an ableton controller? It looks, like it's really difficult to make it work properly and it's not better than using a keyboard.
