I remember making an effect that casts a light ring around the skybox and only on the upper horizon, it gathered around the moon too and made multiple rings, think of it like the Chromatic Aberration, but for light rays only

Paul1rb I learned all of these effect things after you talked about the viewport masking, because I used it to make night vision, with a unique box edge effect because it was attached to a camera

It doesn't work on low graphics, so you need to set the editor quality level in Studio to be higher, also the mesh is a sphere mesh from Blender, but it works on normal parts too
