using HSAs for TRAVEL EXPENSES

Have you used your HSA to finance travel during medical needs? How did it work out for you?

I lived outside the country at one time and visited doctors and hospitals there, even had surgeries. It was the best care I’ve ever received in a top notch facility. I would like to open an HSA and fund it to return to that country at least once a year for their full health screening package which includes everything for a woman over 40. Can I write off my travel expenses and medical costs, if out the country? If so, What are the particular documents from doctor or hospital required by the IRS? I currently live and work in US but I’m a 1099 employee and not offered any health insurance by employer atm. I’d like to know if this is even an option lol 😂 Thank you for your expertise in advance 🙏🏽 Great video and I will be checking out the links you posted as well!!

Use travel credit card to get points for transportation, and pay that credit with HSA, a tax-deducted money. This is crazy! wow
