To avoid getting the gel on your skin, use a thin liner brush to get the gel close to the side walls and cuticle. Remember gels with HEMA are ok to use if used correctly. @@hanahrose8145the advice I got from a nail tech was to wait a year to use anything that had acrylates in it, see a dermatologist to get an allergy panel done, and try to avoid products that have HEMA. It’s sometimes advertised under a different name (when I find it I’ll edit my comment!) so that companies can get away with putting it in the bottle. There are gels out there that don’t have HEMA in them, and lots of advice about this on subreddits for nails!

Finally I see a product I use!! There's a lot that goes into successfully using this product, but it lasts so long, and I can't even soak it off if I wanted to 😭 I do suggest getting their nude color instead of clear, just cause it's a neutral color to start with underneath, and it glows pink under UV which helps you see where you might have missed spots, added too much, or have any remaining if you're removing it!!

Every biab I use comes off and I just want to grow my natural nails maybe I should try this one
@juliannahivick492313 күн бұрын
@giacchettitt I make sure to scuff my nails, only a teeny bit because you don't want to ruin your nails, then I wipe them down with alcohol, rather than using a dehydrator, then apply the builder. It takes a lot of practice to get the shape right, I recommend using a different brush than the one in the bottle if you can, just so you have better control! I would do a thin layer, cure that, then without cleaning it or touching it, add another later to build up. After curing, use alcohol to wipe off the sticky residue, because you won't be able to file it properly without that step! You need to add a top coat with this stuff too, if not it'll remain sticky and grippy, unless buffed and scrubbed! Hope this helps ❤️

This might be obvious to everyone else but me, but what I stumbled upon yesterday helped me SO VERY MUCH!!!! I was wondering why it wasn't working quite like everyone I see online! It's because when I was floating the gel down the nail, I was touching the mail, because I thought I had to. Instead I now just touch the gel, without touching the nail!!! Hopefully this can help at least one person!!

Using a hard builder gel has been a game changer for me because I like to take long baths and soak off gel always ends uplifting but the hard gel lasts soooooo welllll!

I had seen that you can use rubber base as your base coat. Apparently its a good in-between layer, both the nail and builder gel like to adhere to it. I also imagine it gives the nail itself, a bit more flexibility. So I applied a light layer of rubber base, using the small brush to make sure it was covering everything, flash curing each nail as I go before the full cure. Next I did my slip layer of builder gel, then dragged the bead down, used a tiny brush to make sure it reaches everything, flipped my hand over to get an apex, then flash cure. After each nail was done, I fully cured. Both my rubber base and builder gel are Aimelie. Using the same brand as much as possible seems to help,they were designed to work together.

Just used this product for the first time two days ago. I work in a factory and have a tendency to break my nails but have finally gotten them to grow back out and am not trying to start back over again. So far really happy with it.

I am VERY NEW to this whole builder gel thing. Is it safe to apply this type of builder gel on the bare natural nail? I do not use enhancements, but I would like my nails to be strong & not break. This type of product would be good for my natural nails? Your videos are very educational.
@chelseyhussein789913 күн бұрын
Yes, this is safe to use on the natural nail. Use prep steps, i.e. dry the nail first with acetone, then use a dehydrator and primer on the natural nail, and apply biab. Be sure to fully cure and not cure on your skin.

use jojoba oil on your nails. itll make them bend instead of break. your nails being stiff is what causes them to break. although if you have abnormally bendy or upturned nails like i do, it can be a good idea to use a good nail strengthener like opi nail envy to strengthen instead of gel.

Don't use the Modelones primer. They don't even list the full ingredients on the bottle, and it smells horrendous. I don't know what they're hiding in the formula, but I would never suggest using it.

Recently developed a allergy cause I didn’t do my research. I was over exposed because I flooded my cuticles with this product and bettles polish. Feeling really sad. Feeling like I’ll never be allowed to have nails again…. Am I doomed forever? Does anyone know if I can do my nails again at the SALON EVEN! I love watching your videos btw!
@donnaanguiano225410 күн бұрын
Hey girl, it sounds like you probably developed a HEMA allergy. Hema is one of the main ingredients in many nail products such as gel, poly gel, and acrylics. You’ll probably have research about how tolerant you are and possibly visit a dermatologist. Might have to invest in buying Hema-free products or going to salons that have Hema-free options. It’s hard and may be more pricy but you can still have you nails done just have to be more conscious and informed about the brands you are using. Best of luck missy!

If your salon doesn't have a hypoallerenic brand, would you consider re-usable gel press-ons? They're fully cured so are usually fine for most sensitised people.

Make sure you're not shaking the bottle before applying, or storing it in an upside down/sideways position and then taking it out of storage and turning it the right way round.

@htmlove6 күн бұрын
Never use just a small light. It's not powerful enough for a full cure, and you're risking developing allergies or contact dermatitis. Small lamps are great for flash curing. You need a big, more powerful lamp for all gel products! Better safe than sorry.

Something weird that happens to me is that I put my slip layer and then ad more making sure i get to the side walls but then when cured the product is not even close to the edge of the nail. Is it because I dont add enough? If I add to much it makes a mess and Floods the cuticle. Help
