Thank you for this vid, this is what I needed. People are wrong with comparing these phones to regular ones. I believe that tablet can replace the laptop, and foldable phone can replace tablet, so u have 3 devices in one and it's even cheap if we look at this way. Thanks!

There's a video Linus made weird keyboards and one had a folding trackpad and keyboard all-in-one. With a kickstand on the back of my phone, I can literally have a two pocket setup. It's dope!

I found your channel when I was curious about the Surface Duo. I was a Zune fan. I played with OS2. I've long packed the losing horse. I really appreciate your channel in the tech space. You're not overly edited. You're honest. I just ordered a Z fold 5 for myself and my wife. I've been burned by Google products before (although I still use some) and OnePlus was really tempting but the wife needs mainstream products not nerdy one. And I won't have a phone without wireless charging. Anyway, TMI here about my own tech issues but all this to say I enjoy your channel more than many of the big channels so keep up the good work.

In device Dex is really all we hope for. I also use these set-ups. The advantage over laptops is that you can use whatever keyboard you like - and mechanical keyboards could be surprisingly cheap.

We need windows 11.... and android at the same time.... I need it for Counter Strike game and Xbox game pass and.. school.... and diagnostic OBD2 to cars. It is 2023 and they still cant do thay.... WHAT A SHAME.....

I bought the iclever keyboard with trackpad for my duo and I use it as a laptop for certain work days and whenever I travel. Don't miss my heavy laptop one bit. I also have a Think Outside Stowaway BT portable keyboard and it has a stand built into it but it doesn't have a dedicated number key row or a trackpad so I use which ever keyboard depending on the task.

Like Dex with Samsung, I probably won't ever use something like this. I love my Fold, though. You have me so close to pulling the trigger on the leather dbrand skin. Right now I'm using the back Pitaka case. Thanks for having so much Fold content.

I have the z fold 5 and I really don't want to have full dex on that inner screen It's still too small and the use of dex for me is when I need a big screen for movie watching, gaming, maybe browsing the web. I also have the Tab S9 Ultra, that I use only in dex mode with a BT mouse and keyboard, but if I don't have the Tab, I would still get a monitor or use my TV connected to the fold for dex

What productivity apps would you recommend for this setup especially for one plus open?

Love your videos and this is a fun one BUT... I have to ask, what's the use case for this? Because, in my mind, unless you're carrying a keyboard and mouse in your pockets all the time, I don't see the point. I think most people would need to have some sort of bag with them to carry those accessories. And, if you gotta carry a bag, you might as well bring a laptop or tablet with keyboard cover for a much better productivity experience. Just food for thought.

To me, the entire point of these devices is that they can do so much that I don't need another device. The question I'm trying to answer here is what can you do if you add a small mouse and keyboard. No second device needed, keep working on your foldable.

​@scaryifliteral Agreed. I was able to do about 97% of my job from my Fold 4. So even out and about from the office, I could still be productive. My S8+ tablet is nice when sitting down somewhere, but having a phone with that much ability on the fly is great.

Pixel doesn't have it and OnePlus just mirrors the screen. Only Samsung has Dex.
